I have kept my profile purposly devoid of too many specific references or events. I have however taken an NPC with a backstory (namely Tovan Khev) and "adapted" this slightly to suit my needs - Charva was just a phase he was going through :laugh:

I have a qwerky little hypothesis about Fred Phelps. You see, back in 60s he was a passionate civil rights lawyer. I think it is entirely possible that Fred started his church not really to spew hate but to push buttons. How do you fight the closed-minded bigotry that claims justification by being the "word of God"? By showing just how closed-minded and hateful it can be. By doing what they've done, the Phelps and Westboro Baptist Church has slapped the collective face of America to the reality the religious fanaticism is hateful and destruction. By doing what they've done, they've made most of the rest of us allies against them. For instance when the KKK will stand with you in opposition to the WBC, that's powerful. I think it is also possible that Fred is remorseful on his deathbed and that is why he's been excommunicated from his own church now.

I could be completely wrong but this just seem highly possible to me.

No need to be a Warp scientist to realize you've done great things for this fleet and therefore are in a very deserving position to receive this promotion. From being a strong driving force behind organizing and running dilithium tycoon event, zombie crawl and other events to constantly being present in game to assist other fleeties in whatever possible, it is obvious you love Stonewall very much.

Not to mention having Dave constantly brag at home all day, all night about how he's so proud of his team...
Last but not least, I've personally been very impressed with you in game over the past 8 months. You were great company for like the 2-3 times I've logged in to the game over that period of time. :P

Congratulations to Danster, he was the winner of Today's inaugural Name That Tune Competition! In addition to Danster; Halish, Honse, Eurrsk, Parker and Dex also participated in the event. Danster has 25 points at the end of the event, winning a grand prize of 10 mil EC.

The event was a lot of fun, for our first go at it. We will make a few modifications and do another on in the next month or so. More info on the next event will be announced soon.

WE HAVE SURPASSED OUR GOAL!!!

A HUGE Thank You to everyone who has contributed or is planning on contributing to the first ever Stonewall Fleet Prize Donation drive. We have now received 900 items and we are only half way through this event. And since we still have a couple weeks to go, we have increased our event goal. We have increased the event goal to 1500 total items donated. IN ADDITION to the new goal, the Morale department will be throwing a big thank you party for the entire fleet in appreciation for your donations and participation in this event. Final party details are being ironed out, so keep an eye to your fleet mail and this forum posting for more information.

Since this is the first time we have attempted an event like this, we did not know what to expect. The vast amount of donations has BLOWN US AWAY! Your exceedingly giving nature has humbled us all greatly. Yet one more reason why Stonewall Fleet is the BEST Fleet in all of Trekdom.
