Hey,

I was born on Earth on 22nd July of 2375. Fascinated with military since I was a child. Joined Starfleet and wearing this uniform with pride. Main ship: USS Eternity, Odyssey Tactical Cruiser NCC-93202.
Currently I am in All Good Things fleet although that fleet is quite silent since some time which is really pity.
I am Vice-Admiral in game, level 50 playing since December 2012.

You can add me to you contacts in game: Maxwell@maxwel975

Outside STO I am huge fan of Alien movies (except all "mistakes" made by Fox: "AvP", "AvP2" an especially awful "Prometheus" grrrr) and S-F in general. I was haunted by Battlestar Galactica (remake). Favourite book: "The Forever War" by Joe Haldeman.

I love all movies with Sigourney Weaver. She is wonderful.

My favourite Star Trek series: Voyager (Janeway rocks!), TNG and DS9. We have been to Destination Star Trek 2012 in London and met Cpt. Janeway in person.

I love rock music. Few years ago I was able to be on 40-50 concerts per year. I don't do that anymore.

Most of my free time I spend at the gym although not so much time as few years ago.. Getting old perhaps (especially when one will read comment above about my concerts trips hehe).

Currently working as operations manager in European division of the US company.

Ah, got it. I know how to extract the ID, but I couldn't remember the right form the URL to get it to work. This would save me the trouble. Thanks!

I did that! It still didn't work for some reason. Weird. Well, whatever. There it is in its full glory.

If I may offer, this is how I post vidoes here. First, select the video option from the Boardcode options:

That should show some additional fields to input information. From the Provider dropdown box, select Youtube. Then in the ID field input the Youtube ID that you find in the URL, in this case iNaeyxzQK60

Once your click the Insert video button, it should insert the proper code into the message you're typing.

I hope this helps!

I picked this up myself for the PS3 yesterday! I won't have time to give it a go until tomorrow, but I'm looking forward to it.

Most of the game's negative reviews seems to revolve around the PC edition, which is probably just a terrible port of the console version, as Star Trek: Legacy was.

Hopefully my console experience will be good! :D

Hey all,

Picked it up yesterday for the xbox and have been playing CoOp with Fishy, and I have to say so far its a good game, didn't have any problems with CoOp, no Glitching out (YET). I do find with a game like this any little thing that people find they BLOW up and make it into something its not.

If you want some fun then pick it up, if your a person that find problems with everything then don't. The game is a mix of Mass Effect and Star Trek. I looks really nice and the voice acting is done well.

I was debating to myself about getting this. as the last couple of star trek games (besides STO) have excited me then dramatically made me disappointed in its game play and story line. to name a few (Star Trek: Conquest, Star Trek: Encounter, Star Trek: Legacy.)

Now if some gaming company were to make a game that would be Elder Scrolls Skyrim meets Mass Effect meets Star Trek: Bridge Commander, then I would be very much in love, in heaven and happily married to some guy by now..

I bought it the other day. I kinda like but I bought it for PC, should have purchased the PS3 game. probably would have been a better choice. I am not very far into it at all, in fact the first mission I keep failing because I am a terrible jumper but whatever. I will enjoy it as long as I can.

I ran Tets for a long time, and have been playing to switching back to them on my sci, since I'm not carriering it up. What's your build look like (including power settings)?

There's a list of the Tac Consoles at http://www.stowiki.org/Tactical_Consoles - one of the reasons, if you read the official forums, everyone hates on rainbow and skittle boats is because the energy-specific consoles add a higher percentage of base damage (the cap on the Prefire Chamber at Mk XII is circa Mk VII.5 for a Plasma Infuser).

Basically, it comes down to pick your favorite weapon (base on proc effect or favorite color) and get the consoles for it. If you're using a mix of zappers and projecticles, the public sentiment is to use the energy-specific consoles, not the projectile ones.

The sets consoles - http://www.stowiki.org/Set - all affect the weapons, too. The Ferengi console bought with Lobi only matters if you're making a torpedo boat or mine boat. The other three - the Borg and Romulan Rep modules, and the Time Lobi module - all add chance to crit (and two affect crit damage).

I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but I thought I should post this to save people money. Apparently this game is really bad and it's flat-out broken on the PC (the online co-op doesn't work). Additionally, it's apparently so bad that the developer, Digital Extremes, is posting fake positive reviews on Metacritic.

So, yeah. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration and skip this. I'm all supporting for Star Trek, but I draw the line at shit movie tie-in games.

Yup, I saw all that and almost didn't pick it up. Haven't played much of it yet but so far I'm liking it. Character controls are a bit awkward at times but it's no biggie for me.
I main reason I picked it up is to play coop with storm. Glad we got it on 360 instead of the pc. :-P

In regards to tetryons if you wnat to inrease their shield drain, equip flow capacitor science consoles. they increase all drains.

Be advised that in the current state of the game, all shield draining abilities are weakened by the insanse resistante to that effect that power insulators give.

Re: Star Trek: Pandora , Ep 2.1 "Augmented Reality"

April 27 2013
It was a remarkably clear morning in San Francisco, lacking the city’s signature fog or a cloud in the sky. In the city’s Castro neighborhood, people were already out and about, with a steady stream headed for the area’s main transit station up on Market. A few blocks off the main drag, along a line of small flats, a door opened to reveal a smartly dressed woman. She smiled up at the clear sky, brushing strands of her fire-red hair away from her green eyes. Closing the door behind her, she quickly descended the stairs leading up to the building.

“Good morning, Cassie!” came a voice from the woman’s right. Cassie turned and smiled at her neighbor, a middle-aged man who appeared to be returning from walking his dog.

“Good morning, Peter! Really beautiful morning today,” she said with a smile as she walked over to him.

She bent down to give the dog, a corgi, a good rub on the head before looking back up at him.

“How’s Alex?”

“Oh, he’s still off on that business trip. He’ll be back later tonight. We should get together tomorrow night for drinks! He can tell you all about it.”

“It’s a date! Give him my best when you see him,” Cassie replied with a smile as she resumed her walk toward the metro station. She pulled her phone and a small pair of headphones out of her purse, slipping the phones on and pressing play. The clack of her heels on the pavement soon subconsciously matched the beat of the music.

After turning onto Castro street and walking up toward Market, Cassie slipped into a coffee shop and took her place at the end of the line. She looked down and brushed at her vintage blue dress, then glanced at a television screen mounted on a nearby wall. It was currently showing a morning news program, with closed captions running along the bottom.

“... a proposal to build a so-called ‘Sanctuary District’ has been submitted to the city’s Board of Supervisors as an answer to the affordable housing crisis. While supporters argue this will provide much-needed subsidized housing for the city’s poor, there are concerns the design would segregate the district’s residents from the rest of the city. The cities of Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles have adopted similar plans in recent months. In internation news, the CIA has announced the capture of another Augment insurrectionist cell in Kabul...”

Cassie looked away from the television and at the pastries to her left. When it was finally her turn to order, she removed her headphones and smiled at the cashier, who grinned back.

“Large sweetened ice, as usual?”

“You know me too well, Eduardo,” Cassie replied.

After her order had been rung up and she’d paid, Cassie dropped her change into a nearby jar that read ‘Nerve Gas Victims Fund’. Eduardo gave her another smile.

“Thank you, as always.”

Cassie took her drink and simply smiled in return before leaving, resuming her walk to the metro station.

Some time later in the city’s Mission District, Cassie walked into one of the large skyscrapers that filled entire city blocks and composed the city’s ‘second skyline’. In the lobby, she walked under a large screen that displayed a large ‘Cryonics’ logo, followed by videos of sleeper ships launching into space. Cassie entered the first available elevator, taking it up to the building’s 22nd floor.

Cassie disembarked and entered a sterile white corridor. Turning to her left, she passed by laboratory after laboratory as she walked. She removed her headphones and tucked them in her person, nodding and smiling at her coworkers as she passed. Upon seeing a man in a business suit at the end of the hall, Cassie quickened her pace.

“Alan! Do you have a minute?”

The man turned and waited for her, saying nothing.

“Alan, I was hoping to talk with you about the latest reanimation media results. One of our preparations is showing better-than-expected results.”

Alan’s eyebrows raised in mild surprise.

“Really? That’s excellent news. Unfortunately, I have a meeting in a few minutes. Can I meet with you in two hours?”

Cassie nodded.

“Good. Oh, speaking of...”

Cassie looked over her shoulder at where Alan was looking and saw four people approaching them. There were three men and one woman, all dressed in some manner of suits. Cassie’s eyes were immediately drawn to the Native American on the far right because of the distinctive tattoo on the left side of his face. The woman in the group looked right at Alan and extended her hand.

“Good morning, Dr. Park. I’m Ms. Matoya,” she said crisply.

“Wonderful to meet you, Ms. Matoya.” He then gestured to Cassie. “This is Dr. Ryan, one of our researchers.”

Ms. Matoya smiled at Cassie. Cassie smiled back, but barely. Something about the woman’s smile, or perhaps her entourage, sent a chill down Cassie’s spine. Ms. Matoya, for her part, simply looked back at Alan.

“Shall we get down to business?”

Alan nodded and gestured back toward the elevator.

“Yes, let’s head up to my office. We can speak in private there.”

Cassie watched as they headed back down the way she had come. After a moment, she simply shrugged, shook the feeling out of her head, and entered one of the neighboring labs to begin her work for the day.

Cheers for this info... Ive been using ALL Tetryon weapons, arrays, Turrets etc.. they dont leave a scratch on any ship I shoot at.
Either that or its slow going.

Wish there was a guide that would tell you what consoles are best to compliment your choice of weapon

This is pretty amazing. A guy constructed paper craft Sailor Moon cosplay and proceeded to make a music video for Estelle's "Do My Thing", a song which I'm now completely addicted to. Everything about this is a fabulous hot mess and it's awesome.

EDIT: Gave up trying to embed the video. Every version of the URL provided by YouTube just doesn't play nice with the forum's coding.

Vacation of Broken Hearts

I entered the Admirals Office plugged into his console and downloaded the new information I received from 11 of 10. When that was complete I disconnected and the Admiral stood up.

"Captain, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for your efforts in dealing with the borg. I have new orders for you after your vacation is over. In fact I am not going to deliver them to you until you return to the Phantom. I will tell you that you are being promoted to Admiral as of this stardate and that you are granted a new star ship which will be transferred to you once the Phantom leaves DS9. We are also transferring the designation name of the Phantom to your new starship. Currently in your cargo hold are some items that were transferred from DS9. Commander Anderson wil be installing them on your new ship. Congratulations Admiral, please enjoy your vacation."

I took the new pips and slipped them into my pocket, turned and left the Admirals office. I was not shocked, happy, sad or anything. In fact...I felt no emotion at all. None.

I met up with Colin who was waiting for me in the Transporter room. We stepped on the pad and were beamed to Earth. We found our transport shuttle and quickly set a course for the mountain range to do some skiing and relaxing. I knew that this vacation was going to be enjoyable but I also knew what was coming at he end of it. I know Colin knew something was up but he was not able to read me as well as in he past. I was feeling rather numb. As we arrived at the resort he looked at me with incredibly sad eyes. He had figured out what was coming but didn't say a word. We spent our days on the slopes skiing, snowboarding and playing around. At night we would dine by firelight and fall asleep in each others arms. This was going to be tough but it had to be done. On the fifth night I replicated his favorite foods and had secretly produced a vintage bottle of his favorite wine. He came out of the shower dressed in a lavish robe. He saw the spread I had set out and his look saddened. "I was wondering when you were going to drop the bomb".

"It is no longer possible for us to see each other on a personal basis. I have known for quite some time about you and Parker. I love you both dearly but you belong with each other. I am merely a momentary fascination for you. When we get back to the Phantom there are going to be many changes. I won't go into detail now but it is time for the Intrepid's new captain to take command. I have been given command of another ship and will transfer my flag and designations in 2 weeks. The intrepid is taking on a new designation and a new Captain..." I handed Colin his Captain pip's and motioned for him to sit down.

"Remember our last stop at Bajor?" I asked, taking my chair and motioned for Colin's plate. "Well, while you were off discussing the implications of Borg nanites and human physiology, I spent some time in the shopping district looking for just the right piece to go into my aquarium I met a man, well met is not the right word. Our eyes met but only briefly and I...I...felt something. I don't think he felt the same thing but there was definitely something between us. I believe he is also a scientist but I am not sure of the his field of expertise. Later I bumped into, much by accident and knocked several carefully wrapped packages out of his hand. As bent to pick them I felt his presence in my mind. It was soothing. I blushed, which is something I rarely do. I handed him his packages and with a pat on shoulder I walked away. I don't know if I should ever see him again though I hope I do."

"I can't say I am surprised by this" he said, "Even though you are right, I do belong with Parker. I think we will never be together again. I understand that he will be taking on new duties on another ship. Do you know where he has been assigned, Admiral?"

"No, no I don't but I have a feeling he will be assigned his own ship as well. You two are amazing individuals and I will miss you both terribly. With any luck we will run into each other frequently on the starbase. I know some of the tactical missions I have been assigned are going to require several ships. I intend to have you and Parker along for the ride if I possibly can, but even that may be harder on all of us than can be expected. So... Captain, what will you be calling your new ship?"

"I don't know." Stated Colin.

I noticed the dampness forming around his eyes. He was being dumped, amicably but still dumped and it saddened him greatly. I reached over and grabbed his hand. He got up from the table and pulled me out of my chair. "Computer, raise the music level by .75db" he stated as we pulled each close and danced slowly for the next hour. My shoulder was wet with his tears and his with mine but we knew, both of us, deep down that it was for the best. I kissed him once on each cheek and pulled him towards the couch and we lay there just holding each other until the dawn...
