I am new to the Knights of Stonewall, just joined this week.

If you right click the chat tab, then click chat settings you can customize the chat and create new chat tabs to filter out the other stuff like general chat, combat, etc.

I have a chat tab, that is dedicated only to guild, group, and whispers. This helps with the chat scrolling by too fast and missing things. You can also customize the colors.

Looks like a lot of fun, and I am new here so I am looking forward to meeting some new friends at the events.

You dont need to be, i have felt the same way, many times in this game.

8:00 PM Opening Ceremonies - Bajor
- Join us on Bajor for the Opening Ceremonies of the Spring Swing Event!

8:30 PM Sector Races - Cardassian Sector
- We will have a fun competition of racing around the three Cardassian Sectors. Fun times shall be had by all!

10:00 PM Dance Party - Quark's Bar
- After the conclusion of the races we will convene in Quark's Bar aboard DS9 for some dancing and socializing.

Saturday, April 6th
10:00 AM Klingon Leveling Clinic
- We all have a character or two that we would like to spend some time on, why not do it with Fleeties?! Hop on one of your Klingon Characters and team up for some leveling!

12:00 PM Foundry Missions
- We will be grouping to play through a featured foundry mission!

2:00 PM Fleet Actions
- Team up to defend the Starbase!

4:00 PM Scavenger Hunt
- Another installment of the very popular Scavenger hunt will occur. Do you have what it takes to find the right place?

6:00 PM Fleet Role-Play Event
- Our weekly Roleplay event has been a lot of fun, even if you haven't done it before come join in all of the Trek Action!

8:00 PM Space PvP (Shuttles)
- This is a Stonewall Fleet Favorite! Make sure your go-to shuttle is equipped and ready to pew pew pew!

Sunday, April 7th
11:00 AM Space PvP (Fed v. Klingon)
- Its time to get our PvP on! Who has it better? Klingons of the Federation? Let's find out shall we?

1:00 PM Mystery Location Awards Ceremony
- The Fleet Resources Department will be hosting the rewards ceremony for the ongoing Mystery Location Event!

2:00 PM Small Craft Races
- We will again be boarding our small craft for a challenging race around a set track within a fleet action. Be sure to have your engine batteries handy!

4:00 PM Fleet STF's
- Team up with fellow fleeties to Kill some BORG!

6:00 PM Spring Fashion Competition - Defera
- Are you obsessed with outfits? Then this is the contest for you! Design your most fashionable Spring themed Trek outfit and walk down the runway!

8:00 PM Spring Swing - Defera
- Since we are all in our best Spring frocks why not dance the night away with your fleet mates!

8:30 PM Closing Ceremonies - Defera
- The Spring Swing Event comes to a close, and a brief closing address will send us off into the stars.

Sorry I guess I was a tad moody when I wrote that... I don't take back the feeling ignored bit but I can with a rational mind accept some of the reasons what I say might be missed and perhaps a private message or two could be in order next time lol. Once again sorry for my rant/whining.

Remans would go blind on a bright Federation starbase and probably fall down an impossibly long turboshaft. Be right at home in the slums of Qo'noS though. I hear their purple spectres put on quite a show.

On the other hand the Vulcans/Feds had a chance to help us and they refused Spock.At least with the kdf we would know how far we can trust them, and betray them accordingly.

No self respecting Romulan would ever ally with the KDF. I can't speak for Remans.

Oh, I can understand it too, and definitely agree it'll help out DSS and Nagh reD. Just sad my expectations were too high. Though to be fair I never told Cryptic what those expectations were. I'm sure if I did they would design the faction to cater to my individual wants :P

Hopefully, it'll push the numbers up on the KDF side of things.

That's my fear, as well. Not to mention that the majority of Romulan players are going to ally with the Federation because that's the faction they're most familiar with and probably already in a fleet in that faction. This will just perpetuate the imbalance of players in-game.

Romulans can only create or join Federation or Klingon fleets.

I can understand why they did this. It would decimated small or medium sized fleets out there right now as everyone jumped on the Romulan bandwagon. Instead, this could be a really good thing for our Klingon Fleet, House of Nagh reD and even our alt fleet, Deep Space Stonewall who's progress has been relatively slow. While Stonewall Fleet's starbase is already Tier 4, we do have quite some time left before getting to Tier 5. We have to earn about 100,000 XP in each category left. There's still plenty of achievements left to earn together. :)

We should still have plenty of room in our Fleets. We'll stick to the same one-chracter-per-member rule in Stonewall Fleet so people will still be able to put their main character, even if its a Romulan, in that fleet.

Still reading the article, but I hope they increase the amount of members permitted in a fleet, otherwise I foresee huge headaches in shifting characters around.

I'm so fucking incensed about this I'm considering dropping the game altogether. I don't want to play "native auxiliaries" to the British.

Aaaaand... discussion over. There will be no Romulan Starbase. Instead Romulan characters will at one point either join forces with Starfleet or the KDF and thus gain access to the fleets of the respective faction. Interesting choice and probably really great for most of the smaller fleets out there (who don't need to concentrate on yet another Starbase).

Not quite as cool for us who are almost finished. At least there will be another Fleet Holding sometime after the May update.

I'm taking a wait and see approach to this one.
After the Diablo 3 clusterfrak, the Mountain Dew/Doritos* kerfuffle, the Lara Croft payola drama, The WarZ's ongoing (yet highly entertaining) ridiculousness, the Colonial Marines debacle and SimCity shenanigans, I'm taking everything with a grain of LoSalt.

I'd argue that what you're proposing isn't a theme of 'equality', but instead 'assimilation'. Not all gay couples are going to have or want children, the picket fence, and the house in the 'burbs. Hell, not all heterosexual couples want that. Two friends of mine are a straight couple who refer to each other as partners and have no plans of getting married or having children. (They do, however, have a menagerie of cats and dogs.)

I really like this cover. It says to hell with society's "ick factor" of seeing same-sex kissing and puts the very basic idea of same-sex attraction and love front and center.

The current fight over marriage equality and the rights of the queer community is also a good opportunity for this country to examine its bizarre obsession with everyone assimilating into a single 'one size fits all' life track. Some people want kids, others don't. Some want a house, others want an apartment. Now that society is accepting the idea that a life can be made with a same-sex partner, it's a great time to start opening it's mind to other ideas outside the norm as well.
