Re: [Poll] Should we change the Fleet Uniform?

February 24 2013
When the proposed new uniforms are put out for vote I think the old one's should be included too, this way people will be able to contrast and compare, and if they don't like any of the new one's they can vote on the current set(?)

Re: Older Star Trek Games

February 24 2013
In 1996 or 1997, I was at a friend's house and got to play one of the first Star Trek CD-ROM games. For all I know, it was just called "Star Trek"--I don't know the name of it and I wish I knew. It was TNG. The game wasn't thought out very well. There was this one point, after which I'd been playing maybe three hours, that I was supposed to plug some kind of battery into a computer console, but the battery, which I had picked up from an earlier mission, burnt out and I was supposed to replace it, and I went everywhere I could in the game and could not find a replacement. I was supposed to have done something where it didn't burn out, and when I failed, it seems the game could not be completed. I especially remember that on one of the planets, the species were anti-male and the looked like baboons wearing bracelets.

If anyone knows the name of this game, I'd greatly appreciate it, thanks!

I know I wasn't part of the voice chat itself, but I did listen in to you all for a little while. Long enough to tell you what beautiful voices you guys have.

I am very sorry to hear about your baby Tamek. I know what a hard decision it can be. We had to put our cute rabbit Goeffrey to sleep last month. He had an aggressive cancer and was 'elderly' so yeah. :-/ *hug* If you see me online and need to talk give me a holler. I always have an ear and shoulder for a fellow cat lover. :-)

Hey, Tamek!

I'm sorry to hear of the situation with your pet.You are right in that we never truly know the kind of battles some people are facing. Or the feelings and hardships that are associated with them... I am happy to hear however that you were able to lean on some fleeties in vent! When the chips are down, we always seem to come through for one another.

As mentioned earlier, you most certainly are not alone :) We'll be here should you need to talk more.

Best of wishes,

~Andrew

As someone with huge anxiety problems, I find 95% of the Vent crowd welcoming and understanding. It is a good group, and as far as I am concerned, you are always welcome in the Ten Forward crowd with me!

Re: Ship Names

February 23 2013
Light cruiser: USS Stonewall (coincidentally prior to me joining this fleet)
Science Vessel: USS Turing
Research Science Vessel: USS Sulu
Support Cruiser: USS Takei

I'm thinking of bring it back to old school and name my next ship USS La vie en Rose, in honor of Edith Piaf and pay an hommage to Gundam F91.

I love Birth of the Federation, but apparently the game doesn't work with windows 8. So I have to say good bye and deal with not being able to play that until someone can come out with a mod or something...

I know it's not a multi-player game, but I still have a copy of Star Trek: Invasion (the space combat fighter for PSOne)...

Is that the Mirror Universe one with the voices of George Takei and Walter Koenig?

I loved and miss Armada 1 & 2 and would love to play them again. Also Birth of The Federation. What is the program that allows you to play it on a more current iteration of Windows?
