Pursuant to our policy, characters are removed when they become inactive for 90 days or more to allow new and active characters to remain within our fleets. Cryptic has a 500 character capacity on fleets therefore it would be impossible for us to retain everyone's inactive characters.  When a character is removed from a fleet it looses its rank (this is part the games mechanics), the good news is, is that it is extremely easy to rejoin a fleet and have your character's rank restored.  Leadership should have checked your membership status and promoted your characters to the appropriate rank as shown within our member management system -this step may have been inadvertently skipped, it happens, I usually blame it on my 7 am to 5 pm job.  I'll review our rosters this evening and promote your character(s).

It's cool seeing Trek cameos in other shows.  Literally everyone has been in Trek at least once, and I really enjoy pointing it out to the bf each time we're watching something completely not Trek related.  "You know who that is?", I'll say... "Let me guess... someone from Star Trek", he'll say... then I'll make him guess the character, lol.

I'm sorry if this post is annoying or inappropriate. It most likely is. I have been away from the game a few months (due to health stuff) but returned now. I've been playing for over 5 years and have always been a member of a Stonewall fleet. Now I have a Rom-fed char. and managed to join SW legion, of which i have been a member at least three-four times over the years. I have autism and anxiety so i don't interact a lot with ppl or join fleet events and such. i don't know how and I just feel awkward, scared and uncomfortable, so I really don't know anyone, but i have always been an avid contibutor to fleet projects. The least i can do. Again I've been put as a 'recruit', which feels a bit sad, having to wait, as a reoccurring member, to even being able to donate a few shield batteries to the fleet bank. :/ Maybe you have changed the policies so even old members have to start as recruits, and if so I apologize, but if not; I don't get why i should have to be a recruit when i have supported and been a member of the SW fleets for 5 years. Last time I posted in here was a couple years ago. Since I recently did a full PC upgrade and reconfigured the workstation while I was at it, I figured it's time to necro this thread! :P  The antique furniture I was using just wasn't cutting it anymore, so instead I went with a large folding table and a wall mount for the screen. It's a very basic surface, but it gives me more real estate and...LEG ROOM OMG!





Note my "second monitor" underneath the big one: an old Android tablet (running KitKat)! There's a nifty little app you can get from the Google Play store for $7 that lets you use your droid phone or tablet as just another Windows monitor, letting you mouse, type, extend the screen, drop apps on it etc. just like a regular monitor. RTS Tournament [3:00 PM - 5:00 PM EDT or click here for your timezone] Fleet Admiral Nick will be leading Stonewallers in a head-to-head fray against other Stonewallers in Strike Tactics, a multiplayer browser-based RTS. We’ll go fight in a 1v1v1v1 game. Hillbane Memorial Grand Melee Tournament [5:00 PM - 6:00 PM EDT or click here for your timezone] It's that time of year again, when Stonewallers, regardless of allegiance, come together in one place to battle it out in a series of 1 vs 1 ground PvP encounters, in order to determine who will be crowned House Champion!  Named in honor of Admiral Hillbane, one of Stonewall's original KDF officers who has since passed away, we encourage you to join us in this battle of blades, in order to prove your Captain's mettle by competing in our Grand Melee tournament for a chance at honor and glory! ... and a generous helping of Stonewall Credits.  This is a cross faction event that takes place in private PvP queues.

Dominion War Reenactment (In Honor of Retired Admiral Aikune) [6:00 PM - 7:30 PM EDT or click here for your timezone] Admiral Jacien will lead Stonewall Captains in a re-enactment of the Dominion War, which is being held in honor of Stonewall's Retired Admiral of PvP: Aikune (@Whiteonmyoji).  Before his retirement, Admiral Aikune was among the fiercest of Stonewall's Captains, dominating our PvP Combat Operations Wing and introducing the Shipwrite program to Stonewall!  This Dominion War Re-enactment will pit Dominion forces against the remainder of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, in an epic battle for PvP glory!  Will the Dominion be subdued once again, or will the Dominion prevail?  Equip your vessel and join us in this ultimate fleet member vs fleet member battle to find out!

These were literally the first four listed on Google in my price range. I hadn't even noticed the storage. I poked around a little more, and based on the advice here and on Discord, I think I'm going to go for an Asus TUF FX504. It looks like its big downside is the camera, but when I use the camera for teaching online, I put lots of light on me, which should compensate.

The link for Acer #1 doesn't work for me, but the stats on the remaining three look pretty similar.  Looks like the Dell only has a GTX 1050 video card instead of the GTX 1050 ti that is advertised.  The TI gives a performance boost that I would probably go for.  My family has had bad experiences with HP and good experiences with Acer, so I personally like the look of the Acer #2, but the small, 256 GB SSD hard drive concerns me.  256 Gigs isn't a lot of space in this day and age and there's no secondary drive for storage, unless you plug in an external one, it looks like.

PCGamer did a review of a few different gaming laptops last month, if you want to give it a once over.  More expensive, mind you, but maybe worth it in the long haul.
