I've been trying to figure out what order I should claim my names... I want a name for one of my alts that I know will go quickly... the name for my Main may go rather quickly but probably not as fast as the alts..

so do I worry about getting my Mains first, since this is the char I'll spend most my time on..

or try to grab the popular name I want for my alt first..

Ok I've gone ahead and confirmed Crystal Desert since it seems we're all in agreement here.

I will be posting up a thread when I get home from work tonight for us to discuss the "back up" server option.

I prefer a less 'hardcore' server. I'm worried about the server being full very quicly and i'm worried about not being good enough to play WvWvW because we will be competing against the best servers. If we pick a 'smaller' server, then i'd be worried about the server being dead after a few months. Most important to me though, is sticking together with the other gay guilds.

The leader of Gayme 0n has announced that Gayme 0n and Rough Trade have already decided on Crystal Desert. There is also a poll on gaygamer.net in which the majority votes for Crystal Desert, although only 21 people voted yet. So i think we should follow them to Crystal Desert.

Gayme 0n and Rough Trade are planning a secondary back up server. We should probably look into this too. Just in case the server is completely full before all stonewallers have joined.

This form of guild recruitment can attract unwanted anti-gblt attacks or prompt the inevitably "Why do you need a GBLT guild, couldn't you just not talk about it in a normal guild?" type of conversation.

Any form of recruitment including forums will always bring in people who troll. It is completely inevitable in my opinion.

But if the guild is large enough to the point it doesn't need to advertise, I can agree with you on the spamming.

CD sounds great.
On a side note, I don't see us listed on GW2guilds yet. But, haven't seen many other guilds such as Boon Squad on there either.
Wish Agenda would hop on to CD with us as well.

Keep in mind that while these numbers are on gw2guilds.org, not all guilds have listed their guild numbers, most are estimates and not all guilds have registered on that site.

But, from what currently shows:

I wanted to get some kind of handle on how populated CD would be in comparison to other servers. Assuming that the numbers are errored in roughly the same way, CD won't be the most populated server. Of course we don't want to play on in a ghost town, but also don't want the server to be so crowded as bring the poor thing down.

So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that CD is fine with me as well.

Crystal Desert is just fine with me. :) I can very safely cast another vote for Posidius for CD as well. He's my partner and would want me to add his voice to the vote...as he is at work and can't get to a computer. We agree on all matters of importance...that's why we are 16 years into a great relationship...I will of course inform him of his absentee vote :cheer:

http://www.gw2guilds.org/ has been gaining popularity, worth considering.

We use the same vent server as Stonewall Fleet and Knights of Stonewall. We're going to be changing the room layout soon to support Guild Wars 2 (at this moment the "private" (mission) rooms are named for STO and SW:TOR but we can still use them, they're just names).

Dwayna's Tavern is the GW2 "public" room and the "Stonewall Lounge" is a room for everybody, meant as a much more general none-game specific room. But don't feel like you can't go into the STO and SW:TOR public rooms if there's people in there you want to get to know.

The reason we keep using the same vent server, is the same reason we share the same social network and forums. It's so we don't have to lose friends because we're playing different games.
