Re: Knights of Stonewall Moto?

August 16 2011
Working off what other folks mentioned I had a couple of thoughts and tossed them together and thought they possible fit with the SW:TOR galaxy and follow the same line of thinking as the previous motto.

I dropped the diversity part as Knights of Stonewall is a LGBT guild so I hope we are diversified. :)

If anything maybe these will help others with putting together additional ideas for a motto.

1) Indomitable Strength or Indomitable Courage

I think they both describe anyone in the LGBT community.

Indomitable means incapable of being subdued, we will not let the enemy over power us, we are going to stand up for what we believe and not succumb to the beliefs and will of others.

2) Strength, Courage, Confidence

As we face the many challenges in game we have the Strength of our LGBT family and it's diversity, we have the Courage to stand up for each other and defend ourselves, Confidence in knowing that what we stand for is right and by doing this together we will persevere.

Interesting episode...is it just me or did Sookie remind anyone of Buffy in the graveyard last night?

The guild leader decides who's in and who's not.

And again it's not for us Europeans  , only for the US.

You do have a point, but I think a different motto will give the fleet its own identaty think of TKS and SF as brachs of the same military but they have diffrent cultures, difent identitys and diffrent mottos

I voted for same sex romance! I may even try opposite gender romance for a bit of diversity. :)

Surveys would be good.

I was thinking that we might mainly stick with the PvE servers since PvP will be allowed on them, but only in specific areas, so we wouldn't really be missing out on anything.

So then maybe an EU Sith and Jedi guild on the same PvE server and a US Sith and Jedi guild on the same server, but I'd really hate segmenting the community like that.

Of course the same website! The same community that's shared with Stonewall Fleet as well.

I do like the idea of having the US sith and jedi on the same server. Same for the EU side.

Seems like it would be fun to have both sides on the same server for PvP and general play.

A PvE server seems the way to go as there will always be options for PvP for those that are
looking for that fun.

I'm pretty new but I do like the current moto - Strength in Diversity.
Seems like a good fit for this game.

Stonewall Fleet has also been around two years longer than Knights of Stonewall too. Stonewall Fleet had the same amount if not fewer members than Knights of Stonewall does at this point in its past.

Re: The Torchwood thread

August 16 2011
You know I really do love Torchwood, but I just feel it is missing something. To me it has been a good series and it's definitely heating up, but god is it slow just now. What I liked about Torchwood was something was always happening was always like bang bang bang, but as Mark pointed out that plane episode was like err.... *Taps foot* for 30 minutes then it got good.

I just think if they are going to do a long arc like this again they shouldn't do this long drawn out arc over like 10 or 12 eps more like 5 or 6 like children of earth. I kinda miss Torchwoods old format, but y'know it is getting really good now :) so hopefully we'll see some fun. Then again I must admit im enjoying the extra Harkness screen time :P and oooo little Gwen she's a right wee firecracker ;)

Those people in the incinerator could have been people who have broken their necks or have suffered extreme brain damage which normally would kill them but has now just turned them into vegetables.

They would just be vegetables, yet aware of everything. Horrible thought

Still a long way to go to reach the number of people you have in STO. I assume the total number of players in SWTOR will be a lot bigger than in STO. Makes me wonder why Star Trek is apparently more gay :P.
