The Kobyashi Maru challenge (#KobyashiMaru) is upon us once more, starting on September 28th in Star Trek Online.  We're challenging all Stonewall Captains to team up throughout this weekend-long event and to participate in this PvE queue mission.  We want to see which teams can complete the MOST rounds in this challenge and the members of the top THREE teams will earn prizes and bragging rights as detailed below.  Rally your friends, ready your phasers and load your torpedo bays to achieve victory!



The purpose of this weekend is to have Stonewallers competing against one another for bragging rights!  To compete, simply participate in the 'Kobyashi Maru' PvE queue throughout the weekend and at the end of the mission, grab a screenshot that clearly shows your party members and the final round that your team reached.  You can do this by pressing the 'Prt Scrn' button on your keyboard and then pasting the image into MSPaint or your favorite graphic editor, or by typing /screenshot_ui_jpg on a blank line in your in-game chat window.  Then post that screenshot in this thread with a list of your teammates to enter the competition!  Complete contest rules are listed below:

• Your team must be composed of at least THREE Stonewall fleet or armada members to qualify (max of two PUG members)
• Screenshots must be submitted as a reply to this thread before Tuesday,  October 3rd, 2017, to be eligible
• You can enter the contest multiple times throughout the weekend (ie. if you do a run with one team, you can also be part of a run with another team that enters, HOWEVER, you're only eligible to win ONE prize pack.  For example, if you're part of a team that wins second place, and ALSO part of a team that comes in third, you will only win the highest prize that you're eligible for, not second and third place prizes combined).

While the purpose of this simulation challenge is to bring Stonewallers together in the spirit of friendly competition throughout the weekend, we are also giving away some prizes to the three teams to reach the HIGHEST level by the end of the event weekend:

First Place Team

• 5 Stonewall Credits for EACH member
• (Stonewall Credits are redeemable at the Stonewall Credit Store for in-game and out of game prizes)
• The winning team will also win bragging rights and we'll spread the word of your success both in-game, on the fleet website and on our social media streams!

Second Place Team

• 4 Stonewall Credits for EACH member
• (Stonewall Credits are redeemable at the Stonewall Credit Store for in-game and out of game prizes)

Third Place Team

• 3 Stonewall Credits for EACH member
• (Stonewall Credits are redeemable at the Stonewall Credit Store for in-game and out of game prizes)

Is it possible to have my PS3 hooked up to my monitor AND tv at the same time while also having my pc connected to the monitor? Reason being, when my gf is watching tv, I'll just bring the ps3 over to my monitor and play. When she's gone, I bring it back to the tv but I'm getting sick of moving the ps3 and unhooking the wires all the time. The tv and desk area are about 15ft away from one another. I currently have my ps3 and computer connected to the same monitor via a 3 port HDMI switcher. The monitor I'm using is a AOC e2343Fk and the tv is an LG 42LK450. The PS3 I have is the newest 500gb slim. 


I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

We'll be getting it on October 3rd, when it's released with the next expansion.  It's not actually in the game quite yet.  

I don't think anyone's started a thread to talk about it in the forums, but you could start one if you wanted!  Members have been talking about it on our Discord server here and there.  You can always chat about it in the STO channel there :)

Is there any talk about getting the new Colony Fleet base? Is there a thread I've missed?

Ok, this one is sorta the same as yesterday. I was laughing manically to myself for no reason, because I thought the joke I said was absolute fire:

I too am a cat whisperer. I'm the only one I know who can actually "Herd Cats." Maybe that is my real super power?!

I have a couple of 'em. For one, I am super attractive to cats. They'll seek me out above all others in a room to jump on and rub up against. The fact that I'm super allergic to them and will immediately start sneezing does nothing to deter them. The little bastards just love me.

I also seem to age slower than most humans, and I get really funny when I'm in a lot of pain.
