Greetings Vanguardians, the Commanders are happy to announce our 2017 Pride Event, the first of many events we look forward to hosting for you.  We're starting back off small, with a mini-event, since we don't want want to interrupt our members other engagements.  As time goes on and events are something the SWVG members come to look forward to, you can expect events to be much grander.

The event will be held on Saturday, July 29th from 2pm to 4pm EST.

Without further ado, here's what you can look forward to:


We will be holding a raffle.  The top three draws will win the following prizes: 

First Draw: Mini Southsun Faren + 20% of the Pot
Second Draw: 20% of the Pot
Third Draw: 10% of the Pot

The remainder of the Pot will go to the Guild Bank to fund further projects.

Tickets are on Sale the week leading up to the Event for 2 gold each. To purchase tickets send an in game mail to EstherNe.7380 or Halish.6054 with your payment. You can purchase as many tickets as you'd like.  The drawing will happen on the close of the event of the 29th.



To start off the festivities we will be dropping a Feast and providing costumes for a costume brawl.

The feast will take place in the central Beer Garden in the Guild Hall.

Meanwhile, there will be an arena built for Costume Brawling goodness.
-If you have your own favorite costume, please bring it, the more crazy costumes we see the more fun it'll be.



EstherNee has built a Jumping Puzzle in the Guild Hall (don't go looking for it before the event, we've got our eyes on you).  For this hour guild members can run the Jumping Puzzle trying to get their best time. There will be prizes for the top 3 times.

Winner: 25 Gold +3 Stonewall Credits
Runner-up: 15 Gold +2 Stonewall Credits
Third Place: 10 Gold +1 Stonewall Credits

I've been a member of this fleet since almost the beginning, and never noticed that the logo made an SF until now. Wow.

Those coming from out of the country should plan more time for getting through security as they're increasing airport screenings to get into the US starting today.

are there any pictures from the Grand Melee?

I was at the video quiz on the Text team @GXV3   I wished I could have stayed longer for most the events but house stuff got in the way this time around.

The Star Trek Online website once upon a time had a "ships" page which had a write-up about the various ships in-game and had a few picture of the ships from different angles.

If I remember rightly, I used one of the side-ways-on photos and drew over the top in Photoshop with the line tools and then morphed it as nick said to become and S and F while still maintaining the look of the ship as best as I could. 

Honestly though I don't remember what ship it was that I took the picture from but it certainly wasn't that one. That is a sexy ship tho!

A big "Thank you" and multiple hugs to all of you, who organised this wonderful event. I'm so sorry, that I can't participate much but I'm proud of our Fleet and what we can get organised...

Also the rumours that me and Vladimir are best buddies are clearly lies. If we were I would of won obviously :p

I had a great time this weekend, thank you for organising some fantastic events. One day someone will best sej but for now I will settle for besting him on the odd question.

@Halish actually designed our logo. If memory serves me well, he started with the TOS Enterprise in photoshop and slowly morphed it into an S and and a F. So, for the most part, it's completely unique to us. Though, that's one handsome ship!

I wish I'd taken more screenshots over the weekend, but frankly, I was having too good a time to remember to do it. I blame Nick and the rest of the brass.
