Absolutely incredible issue. I'll be sharing it on social media tomorrow, and reaching out to my contacts at CBS to see if we can get it cross promoted on ST.com because of the interview. It's incredible to see how far the Times has come :) Keep up the great work!

Cheers,

My first was this big red blob that I had to issue commands too in school. I don't remember much more about it, as I wasn't more than 5...

The first proper game I played was treasure Island Dizzy. On the Spectrum. I loved that game so much...

The console not so much. I had to buy magazines with code in them. and then spend a whole weekend typing.....

Those early games were HARD!

Her just closing the door really bugged me, how the hell is a civilization going to survive something like that if no one is willing to get involved.

In 1984, my family bought an Atari 2600 for $300. (Four years later, they went for $40.) It came with a very blocky version of Pac-Man.

I wish that damn kid would take a shower or at least wash his hair and get out of those dead old guys clothes. I did not like how the mother just closed the door and ignored the screams of her neighbor. After just having bashed the head of her boss and friend hours earlier to save Tobias. I think also that it is hard to explain something that you don't truly understand yet yourself. I am liking the pacing though.

Yeah yeah yeah but he looked dead. :-P It was an okay series finale. I would have liked to see some rebuilding too and maybe space exploration.

Not to mention I get that the government doesn't want everything to fall apart as they desperately search for a cure, but I mean honestly if you would just tell people that YES there IS a new virus and so we need people to not riot and destroy the very infrastructure we need to protect you all perhaps they wouldn't be trying to suppress rioters and the undead at the same time.

Yeah, it's a bit of a Catch-22. They're not telling people about the virus to prevent a panic, but that helps cause a panic, so people panic.

I know my first system was an Atari 2600, but I have no clue what my first game was. I joke that even though I had been playing games for 10 years prior to 1991, it wasn't until Final Fantasy II(U.S.) that my gaymer life truly began. I remember very few before that.

The only thing I kinda hate about it is that they are refusing to tell the bloody kids whats going on. The daughter (I really need to learn names) was literally shouting "whats going on? Whats gotten into you guys?" and because they didn't tell her she kept trying to go outside.

It's like maybe she stay inside if you told her that the worlds gone to hell.

Yeah, I really didn't get that either. What are they trying to protect her from? She needs to know. Even if she doesn't believe you. Just let her watch the neighbors get eaten and she'll figure it out.

Welp, five seasons is a pretty good run for sci-fi series now a days. I think it did very well, albeit meandering a bit in the two seasons. It was a great show and its fantastic that they actually wrapped things up pretty well in the finale.

I think the final message, that the knowledge that we aren't alone in the universe and that it'd unite all of humanity, is a good one and was a great way to end the series. I wish there was one last episode to show the rebuilding of the planet, maybe even us reverse engineering Espheni tech and expanding into space, but there'd never be funding for a episode like that for a show that's ending.

What did you all think of the finale?

PS: Vidan, I told you Pope wasn't dead. :P

Without looking like a party pooper, I have relocated some of the above posts into this main thread, rather than in the competition Bio thread, in respect for the entry submission creators.

plus its easier for me to read them one after the other.

What a lovely signature and I.D poster Dex, one hopes that gives you insperation to post a bio in the Mirror Bio thread
