There was something a while ago ... what it was escapes me ... there was two people speaking in English, one American and one British, and when they showed it in the states they had given the British person subtitles.

We also had the USA X-Factor where poor Cheryl Cole was given the boot after only a couple of weeks because she wasn't understandable.

It seems TV moving from US to UK has an easier transition than UK to US. I have often found the US counter-parts to be below par but thats maybe (lets face it, it probably is) personal bias.

That being said, if people enjoy the TV they are watching, all well that ends well.

Disclaimer: I love a lot of American-made TV and would never try to claim the UK is better at it. Just specifically shows that get remade US-versions tend to pale.

I never watched the American version of QaF, or the Office. Mainly because I had seen the British version before. I refuse to. There's another good show I'm watching called Broadchurch, which has one of the doctor who actors in it. I saw episode one of the US remake and it was almost verbatim scene for scene. But I still found it horrible.

This is one of the largest conventions of it's kind in the entire world with a consistently high turnout of celebrity guests, epic cosplay and a vendors room that will make you fall to your knees and weep tears of nerdy joy.

Each year, Fleeties old and new flock to (Invalid img) (where the convention is also held) for 4 days of amazing fun with many of us making a whole week of it.

If you're planning on going or would like more information please feel free to post your questions here or on our Stonewall Vegas Group. Cheaper ticket packages post on the Creation site closer to the the actual convention date which is August 6th to August 9th. I also recommend using Cheaptickets and Orbitz for hotel/flight packages as you do get a decent discount when you bundle. If you're going back and forth between deal sites I'd recommend clearing your cookies as airline sites have an algorithm that hikes up rates for repeat visitors.

I think this year I may actually splurge and do the Captain's Chair Weekend Package.

I'm really enjoying all 3 shows so far glad someone else is watching it too!

Some eye candy too.

Just discovered this little gem. The titles of all three shows come from a scientific study into the male erection which divided the erection into a hardness scale consisting of tofu, peeled banana, banana, and cucumber.

Cucumber follows the story of one gay man( sort of); Banana is an anthology set within the same universe and sometimes minor characters from Cucumber, and Tofu is an accompanying documentary which is shown every week. I have to say, I've started watching and I love the shows!

This last year, my BF and I bought a whole Costco-sized bottle of tequila and none of these fellas wanted to partake this last year. Granted, Sej showed up at my hotel door with whiskey (Kahless bless him).

In a sense it would be, but its requires alot of coordination and timing as theres no vox ability from what i know of for this game and you cant create a team unless you pick a server that all players find that are empty and all team up once you know whos side you are with.

It does have a great element about it

My first time attending a Fleet event and had a great time....
