I'm guessing that the explaination for Amy's positive/negative pregnancy scan will be quite simple. The future is not written, it is in a "constant state of flux" which was mentioned in the first episode of this series. What if the Doctor's future involves him making a decision to go back and change Amy's past? One choice would mean she is pregnant in the present, and the other choice means she is not. Since he has not yet made that choice yet, her current pregnancy is also in a state of flux.

That's what I meant when I said pregnant and not pregnant at the same time and that the foetus was possibly not in the same timestream as her.

At least now we know who the father is.

Shrodinger. :)

I agree that it's got to be a timey-wimey thing that's causing the indeterminate reading. Maybe Amy exists twice in the current time line, and one of her is pregnant. The TARDIS scanner was not told which Amy Pond to scan, so it bounces between the two results.

It seemed like eyepatch-lady said something like a midwife would say to a woman giving birth in one of the eps (the pirate one, I think). Something like "You're doing fine."

The next episode is supposed to have a big cliff-hanger, and then just one more until the mid-season break. Gahhhh! I'm all atwitter.

The other day I was wondering about multiple-doctor episodes... you remember the old ones where Tom Baker et al would appear on-screen at the same time? They could easily do a similar one now with Smith, Tennant and Eccleston - that'd be great fun! He is a time traveller, after all... :)

Eccleston has made it pretty clear that he won't come back.

My hope is that they do a "Trials and Tribbleations" type of episode for the 50th anniversary (only 2 years away!). They could put Matt (or whoever is the current Doctor) into previous Doctors' stories, sneaking around in the background, foiling some timey-wimey or spacey-wacey Dalek plot.

Maybe if I wish really hard, it will come true.

Haha! I'll start wishing as well... if they managed it for an episode of DS9 I'm sure they could budget it in to DW!

Actually, even though Tom Baker has aged (and reddenned) over the years, they could still use some new voiceover lines from him, and through the magic of TV, have his old character appear to say them! :cheer:

i'd like this very much.

Wasnt there an episode in the new series (post eccleston) that featured the images of the old doctors albeit briefly? Or maybe I dreamt that

Noooo! Mid-season break already?! There's only been what, 5 episodes so far?!

You know. It's this kind of cruelty that made us American's revolt against the British in the first place. (Meant purely in jest!)

But.. but... I waaaaaaaant mooooore! ;-)

That's funny. I didn't even realize the last season was only 13 episodes too. There's been a few series on this side of the pond that only had 12 or 13 episodes before it was cancelled (Firefly and Crusade to name two) and the fans describe them as never really getting the chance to draw an audience.

Well... Amy did sort of create an alternate timeline... Remember from the first series with Matt, the little Amy who visited the museum and released Amy prime from the whosiwhaticron box? :3

Then again, Donna did, too. :)

And what's her name... The first assistant of the new era... Um... Can't remember her name.. >.

I have to respect J.M.S. for not caving into ridiculous demands by TNT just to keep his show on the air. They literally wanted the xenobiologist to study alien cultures by having sex with every alien he meets (thus the discovery of alien 'porn' in his quarters).

That said, having read the script for two of the unaired episodes had me drooling for more Technomage stuff.

I'm torn. On the one hand it seems kind of cruel to the turtle.

On the other hand, it's pretty frickin' funny.
