I use a standard keyboard, but I use a Razer Naga mouse. The mouse is not for everyone, but I like the 12-button thumb pad.

I had to take my Naga back. It preventing my computer from booting when it was plugged in. If it was plugged in at any point before Windows had loaded, it would freeze the boot process. Everywhere from preventing the BIOS from coming up at all (if plugged in at the beginning of a restart) to freezing the Windows boot halfway through if I plugged it in before Windows finished loading and had gotten to a login screen.

Razer's tech support wasn't able to suggest anything other than update the drivers (which I'd started with the most recent drivers to begin with). It's a shame because I was starting to get the hang of using at least 9 of the 12 buttons without too much fore thought.

Back to my G9x and relying on the keyboard to trigger my skills.

For the first time ever, I'm also considering a mouse with extra buttons and a macro-enabled keyboard. Despite all the MMOs in the past, I was always fine with the standard set-up. However, SWTOR has more abilities than I've ever seen in a game! My hot key bars are jampacked and I need to free up some real estate with a few consolidated ability rotations. Thanks for the recs, all!

I am using the Logitech G510 keyboard and the G9 mouse.

I like the keyboard overall, but a really nice feature is the LCD screen built into the keyboard. I can see the name of who is talking in a room of 10+ people on the keyboards LCD screen. There is no SW:TOR game settings but I like the feature in WOW where I could see my stats on the screen.

Love the Logitech G9 because it just fits my hand nicely.

I have heard good things about the Crucial keyboards though!

I went out & picked up a G510 today. The key-press is a little more dough-like (not sure how to describe it better) than my Razer keyboard (but it's other issue was getting on my nerves).

Once macros are released in SWTOR I'll certainly be taking advantage of at least some of the G-buttons!

I have to say, one thing I *do* like in a keyboard is a physical button for sound! My Razer had soft-buttons, which I simply didn't care for. The G510 has as scroll-wheel for sound, and a button for mute. MUCH better! :)
