Stonewall / Lord of the Rings Online

March 12 2013
Greets -

Just had a Lord of the Rings: Extended Additional Special BluRay Blah More Money Edition marathon, and had a hankering to get back into Lord of the Rings Online.

Is there a Stonewall presence on any of the LotRO servers, and if not, what would it take to create one? The game is F2P and (on my machine) runs well alongside STO in windowed mode.

As with any online game, yes there are other LGBT kinships, but it would be great to get connected with some Stonewall STO players...

"Rings of Stonewall" has a nice sound to it, no? ;-)

If you're a player in LotRO, shoot me a message in game! :-)

Moved your thread to the gaming section.

I don't think we have a Stonewall kinship or at least not one that I know off. We do have a thread dedicated to LOTRO but it hasn't been replied to for a while.

I have the game installed but I've barely played it, level 5 or something. I'll probably dust it off eventually.

I'm on Arkenstone as well, playing a scruffy level 31 Captain named Ronoku! *hugs*

Generally speaking, we don't start guilds in games that have already launched and have active glbt guilds. Instead, we try to support the active ones as best we can. I'm pretty sure there are some Stonewall members that play LotRO and are members of glbt guilds, hopefully one of them can direct you to their guild.

The main LGBT guild, I forget the name, but it's on the Landroval server. I haven't bothered to join the guild because I don't play enough. To join their guild, you have to be at least level 15, and you join on a probationary period, during which they determine how much you are contributing to the guild. After six weeks, they vote on whether to allow you to join the guild. This was the only LGBT guild I had found when I was searching.

I don't play LOTRO really, even though I love it, it's the most gorgeous game I could imagine (I'm in the Shire), because I don't have anyone to talk with when I play, and I don't play enough to jump through the hoops to join the LGBT guild.

The kinship is called Knights of the White Lady. I was a member for awhile, but I keep losing interest in playing LOTRO...which is a shame, because that kinship is a really good one to join.

In addition to playing STO, I have been playing LOTRO for several years now on the Silverlode server, but if you are looking for someone to run with in LOTRO let me know.

As an ex-codemasters player I am still on the EU servers on Snowbourne so will remain kinless forever :(
