I have no opinion of the game, but I thought the commercial was fun! :silly:

Sadly, word out of the latest previews is that the game isn't all that great and still lacks a large amount of polish. I don't have high hopes.

 That ad was great! Though I can't say I really get where they're going with the Gorn in this game.

According to the @star_trek_game Twitter account everything is peachy.
Everyone loves the game. Even Spock. Look at those pants and tell me he's not trying to rebuild Vulcan, starting with Mt. Seleya!

I'm taking a wait and see approach to this one.
After the Diablo 3 clusterfrak, the Mountain Dew/Doritos* kerfuffle, the Lara Croft payola drama, The WarZ's ongoing (yet highly entertaining) ridiculousness, the Colonial Marines debacle and SimCity shenanigans, I'm taking everything with a grain of LoSalt.

*Don't google "mountain dew doritos cupcake". I've just vomited for you.

LMAO! Great commercial!

I've preordered it. I've only watched a youtube vid or 2. Hoping for the best because it does look good. Sadly, I thought the same thing w/ BL2. Like previously mentioned, not sure what they were going for with the Gorn.

When Traull and I were in London this last October for the Star Trek con, they had an exhibit there, where they were showing a 15 minute gameplay trailer in 3D and it looked awesome! :D

It's very much a first person shooter kind of game, as opposed to an RPG from what I saw, but you and another player work in tandem, as Kirk and Spock to combat enemies and to solve puzzles, with both characters bringing unique abilities to the table.

I'll be buying it, but it'll very much be a game that I play casually on a console as a FPS, as opposed to something I play a little more seriously, like STO.

I think most people will probably enjoy it, if they also enjoy FPS style games :)

One of the main reasons I'm getting it is for the 2 player aspect.

STO will be taking a back seat until I beat it and get most achievements. ;)

I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but I thought I should post this to save people money. Apparently this game is really bad and it's flat-out broken on the PC (the online co-op doesn't work). Additionally, it's apparently so bad that the developer, Digital Extremes, is posting fake positive reviews on Metacritic.

So, yeah. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration and skip this. I'm all supporting for Star Trek, but I draw the line at shit movie tie-in games.

Yup, I saw all that and almost didn't pick it up. Haven't played much of it yet but so far I'm liking it. Character controls are a bit awkward at times but it's no biggie for me.
I main reason I picked it up is to play coop with storm. Glad we got it on 360 instead of the pc. :-P

I bought it the other day. I kinda like but I bought it for PC, should have purchased the PS3 game. probably would have been a better choice. I am not very far into it at all, in fact the first mission I keep failing because I am a terrible jumper but whatever. I will enjoy it as long as I can.

Hey all,

Picked it up yesterday for the xbox and have been playing CoOp with Fishy, and I have to say so far its a good game, didn't have any problems with CoOp, no Glitching out (YET). I do find with a game like this any little thing that people find they BLOW up and make it into something its not.

If you want some fun then pick it up, if your a person that find problems with everything then don't. The game is a mix of Mass Effect and Star Trek. I looks really nice and the voice acting is done well.

I was debating to myself about getting this. as the last couple of star trek games (besides STO) have excited me then dramatically made me disappointed in its game play and story line. to name a few (Star Trek: Conquest, Star Trek: Encounter, Star Trek: Legacy.)

Now if some gaming company were to make a game that would be Elder Scrolls Skyrim meets Mass Effect meets Star Trek: Bridge Commander, then I would be very much in love, in heaven and happily married to some guy by now..

I picked this up myself for the PS3 yesterday! I won't have time to give it a go until tomorrow, but I'm looking forward to it.

Most of the game's negative reviews seems to revolve around the PC edition, which is probably just a terrible port of the console version, as Star Trek: Legacy was.

Hopefully my console experience will be good! :D

I think I must have broken some sort of record with this game... I bought it the day it came out, and by the following monday I had traded it in! :( Played it a lot over that initial weekend, but then got frustrated SO much at how repetitive it was and downright glitchy in places that I gave up. I think the final moment was when I was stuck on the same bit of corridor for maybe the third, fourth time and I noticed a poor Gorn had spawned inside a wall, and he couldnt kill me and I couldn't kill him... and I thought 'trade!' :(
