Project Runway Season 12!!!!!!!!!

I was sad that Kahindo left. I wanted to know more about her story and see how it inspired her work. I think the problem was, quite simply, she picked the wrong fabric, and that hemmed her in (no pun intended).

I think Helen should have gone home. I did not feel bad for her. If you don't know how to do a bust, either learn or don't do one. The dress was just a mess overall.

I'm thinking that they would have never sent Helen home because of the breakdown she had. The judges would have looked like monsters if they had sent her home, and this is as much about preserving their own reputations as anything.

Timothy finally went home. But I did not entirely hate his outfit. I felt bad for him when his partner was saying all that stuff about him. She was just venting, but did it in a really low class way. The other bottom outfit was a hot mess minus the hot. Next week looks to be a Russian Drama. :-)

The Unicorn Drama was getting to be a bit too much for me, so I'm kind of glad he went home. However, I don't think his/Miranda's outfit was as bad as Justin/Alexander's team. Guess I'm willing to look the other way on that one because I'd rather see Timothy leave than either of those two.

I really did feel bad for Timothy though when Miranda started trashing him in front of everyone... which is saying something, because by that point I'd wanted to strangle both him and his stuffed unicorn, lol. That was just uncalled for on Miranda's part - very mean-spirited. I guess it's sort of good that she sort of tried to apologize the next day, although I'm not sure how sincere that was. Still, at least she had enough sense to try to keep the drama off the runway, unlike poor Timothy.

I really liked the winning sombrero outfit from Kate/Helen. I can't help feeling that Helen was carried a bit by Kate there (despite Kate naming Helen the winner). Will be interesting to see if Helen can stand on her own as a designer in future challenges. She hasn't been doing that great thus far, but maybe this will be her turning point. I'm starting to like her now so I hope so.

First off, how obvious is it that the whole "drawing names from a hat" is totally faked, and they just match up whoever will get them the kind of results they want for the show?

I have to agree, I thought Justin and Alexander's dress was actually worse (though I would have hated to see Justin go, he's one of my faves so far). I wonder if it would have been so bad if Miranda and Timothy hadn't broken into a fight on the runway.

Oh, Timothy... Have you see his little biography video? That's probably the best way to get a real look at these designers. His shop and the work that he does normally, I think, is fascinating. But in the end, like I said all along, he's an artist, not a designer, and he didn't stand a chance of advancing far in a design competition.

If I had to pick a winner, I would pick Dom. That dress was fantastic, kind of like harajuku for the runway, and she seemed to be the brains behind that operation. Still, the "sombrero dress" was killer as well--I think it came down to that one involving more ingenuity. But, as someone else said, I think Helen was carried and will likely go out in the middle rounds.

When I watched this before, it was a couple of episodes in that I "picked my pony" for who would win the whole thing. I think I'm going to do that again. I think Bradon is going to win it all.
