Project Runway Season 12!!!!!!!!!

That group was doomed from the start. He had no intention of even trying to work with them.

So I came close to almost liking Ken tonight because of how he talked about Justin. But then he had to badmouth Alexandria and she won. I did not particularly like her outfit, but it did look good for being made of denim. I liked Alexander's dress except for that shiny black shit at the bottom dragging on the floor. I did not like Helen's at all. Total snoozefest. Ken's dress looked heavy and the placement of that folded mess was unfortunate. I felt very bad for Justin and I was SOOOOOOOOO glad that Tim used his save. I got all teary eyed. All the designers love him and he is such a great guy. I hope he either wins or gets to fashion week. :-) Oh and Kern's dress was not that bad. I liked the buckles. Although I have seen that dress before. Kate's dress was a mess. It looked like spilled tar on a white sheet. I was in love with Jeremy's dress and kinda wish he would have won. Ok I think I covered everything I wanted to. :-)

Okay, I don't think I've ever cried like that at the end of an episode PLUS I am very glad my big guess about all the contestants crying was so very wrong. And isn't it cool for a contestant to be this far along and *all* the other contestants like him? That speaks a lot to who he is. And he's cute to boot!

What were the judges thinking? *I* could have made Karen's dress, and I can't even darn a sock. So I am very glad that Justin got saved. His glue-lace (how clever was that!) *could* have worked but he went overboard with it. Just panels of it--which is what I thought he was going to do--would have looked good and made the statement he wanted.

Ken's sense of taste is just way off. I thought he would go home this week--I still think he is going home very soon. Also, I'm assuming since no-one went home this week, there will be a week when two contestants leave? That's the way other programmes like this work.

Jeremy's dress was a dream. So elegant. But he is not going to Fashion Week if he keeps designing for Audrey Hepburn--not that I think that's a bad thing, I'm a dinosaur--but it's not going to make the judges happy in the long run if he doesn't think more contemporary.

Not sure I agree with the judges on Alexandria winning. Gotta agree with Zac and Tim--drop-crotch on a woman's garment makes it look like she crapped her pants. (And this is coming from a guy who vigorously defends sagging.) The outfit overall, though, was the most fashion-forward of the bunch.

I loved Alexander's dress--the fit and the detailing were phenomenal. I'm with Heidi--I'm up in the air about the leather bit. But I thought the dress was gorgeous overall.

I'm thinking Ken is gone next week.

Oh, and Miranda surprised me--I thought she really stepped up. I loved what she did.

I would have liked Alexander's leather train a lot more if it had been more integrated into the front of the skirt. As it was, it just looked tacked on to the look.

Ok I liked this weeks show. I am just going to run down the looks in the order they came down the runway. Not a real fan of Ken's dress. It was well tailored. But I did not like the fabric. Alexander's outfit was okay. But kinda boring. Plaid pants and a white top. *yawn* Miranda once again did a too short shirt and jacket. The pants were cute but did not go with the top and jacket. Dom designs such cute quirky outfits. I've liked almost all of her designs so far. Justin's outfit was very cute and well made. It really made his shoes pop. I did not like Alexandria's outfit at all. The model looked sloppy. The lace reminded me of Justin's outfit last week. The dress fabric looked like a wrinkled black t-shirt. Karen did an okay job. I did not like the matchy matchy shirt though. And the waist of that skirt seems a bit high. Oh Bradon. This was not his week. It wasn't as bad as the judges made it out to be. But it was a bit of a miss for me. Kate's outfit looked very 80's to me. But I guess so did those shoes. :-P Jeremy Jeremy Jeremy. I do not know what he was thinking. Pretty woman without the pretty. I hated Helen's look. Boring black with fabric that looked like felt.

I do not agree with the judges winning look this week. I do agree with the person they sent home though. It was time for her to go.

Ken surprised me, in that I assumed he'd be bottom three, at least, before the episode began. His look was... decent. I thought the fabric was a smart pick but I did not like the silhouette.

Alexander--middle of the road, which is what he keeps playing to. Definitely beat out Miranda by having a more adventurous silhouette for the top.

Glad Miranda is gone. She kept making the same thing over and over again.

I was shocked that Dom wasn't in the bottom three, just as I was shocked that she could create a look that I would think was bottom-three. I kept calling her look the Claire Huxtable dress, and in this respect I felt it was even more dated than Bradon's look.

I can see why the judges liked Alexandria's look though it's not my favourite. I didn't like the way she applied the lace--it looked a bit sloppy. If it had been better detailed I would have liked it better.

Was surprised Karen didn't get grilled for making such a literal look.

Shocked Bradon was in the bottom three. His look was, yes, somewhat dated. But I thought it was better than some of the samey-same looks this week.

I liked Kate's look. Not top-three, but I liked it.

Jeremy can't design contemporary. He'll be gone soon.

For an LBD, Helen made a great one. I'm just surprised that an LBD won this week. Also, didn't like the cape--reminded me of a nun--and thought she could have done something much different to enhance the dress. I was surprised that she dropped her original idea of embellishing the cape, given her general aesthetic--and I might have liked it better, too.

Ken, Alexander, and Jeremy are all leaving soon. Probably Jeremy next week.

Oh, and something curious I noticed--Ya has worn the winning look three of seven times--the only model to repeat so far.

I knew Miranda was in trouble right from the get-go when she said she was going to design something that she herself would wear. I thought that was a terrible idea that couldn't possibly end well. I was right. :P

I can't decide who irritates me more now: Ken or Jeremy. I actually did like Ken's dress this week, but apparently not nearly as much as Ken did. And it seems that Jeremy's right there with him now in having an attitude that's not justified by the actual talent level. Sorry Jeremy, the judges didn't like your "Pretty Woman" knockoff because it was bad. It's not them, it's you. :P

Overall, I wasn't too impressed with this week's runway. There were some nice things but nothing that really wow'ed me. I didn't like Alexandria's outfit that much - but I'll freely admit that I really, really hate the gladiator sandals, so I was probably going to dislike whatever it was she did. I also didn't think that Bradon's was that bad. Wasn't expecting it to be a "bottom three" look. I did like Helen's outfit though - cape and all. I was worried it would be too simple at first, but thought that she managed to pull it off as chic in the end. So kudos to her.

Next week, Michael Kors! :cheer:

Realised I missed Justin in my earlier review. Not a top-three, but definitely got the idea of getting adventurous without going overboard. So hopefully he'll hang in awhile yet.

Okay, here we go again...

Kate: Surprised she didn't win. I liked hers the best of all.

Helen: Look who's been knocking it out of the park lately? She's not a dark horse anymore. I didn't like her silhouette, but I understand why the judges liked it.

Alexander: Surprised they didn't like it more. I thought the jacket was really cute, but they made a good point that the execution on the back was off, so, for that, rightfully marked down.

Justin: Was really surprised he wasn't in the top three. I really liked his look.

Alexandria: No, that did not look like anything you could exercise in. Take it from someone who does yoga.

Bradon: Love the pants. Don't think they go with the top.

Dom: Thought it was clever to add a cap. The striping on the pants is just weird.

Jeremy: Loved the palette, and thought it was smart to go with a non-black pant, as he said. The jacket was not memorable.

Karen: It's hard not to feel bad for her. Given that she started over from scratch, she at least pulled off something halfway decent.

Ken: WHY IS HE STILL HERE? He's gotta be gone the next round.

I really like Kate and Bradon, and maybe now Helen (gasp!) for my top three. Dom seems to be fizzling just a little bit - nothing horrific, but I haven't liked her recent stuff as much as I've liked her earlier work. I could see Helen sneaking in and becoming a contender, assuming she doesn't revert back to her prior quality of work, haha.

I do think Justin's adorable, but he hasn't really been a top contender yet. He seems to be finding his confidence though (I liked his design this week too). So who knows, maybe he'll be another dark horse - although that could just be my wishful thinking kicking in :blush: .

Also, I was not a fan of Heidi tagging along with Tim to give the designers advice. I understand that they were designing for her product line, but I feel that it was a bad idea having her both advising and judging the contestants. It just seemed very unlikely to me that Alexandria would be sent home, regardless of how atrocious her outfit looked, after a member of the judging panel (and host of the show) told her that she really liked that pants design. At the very least, you knew that Heidi was going to feel obligated to defend that look to the other judges. I hope it's the last time the show does that.

This week was such a snoozefest for me. The fabrics they had to choose from reminded me of the 80's. Which are apparently coming back. Ken went overboard with his "outburst". It seemed very fake to me. I think Kate should have won. I liked the color she used and what a cute inspiration. :-) I wish I had a more thorough synopsis. But like I said, I wasn't that much into this week. I did like Justin's though. :-)

Justin had a shot at top-three if the hem of the pants had been lower, I think. That's what killed it for him. Kind of surprised he was the only one to think to make shorts.
