3D printed STO ship model offer.. is no more

Do you remember a few months back when STO posted a blog offering us the ability to print our very own STO ships, that we could physically fly around and play with.. and make pew pew noises from our mouths..  our own tailored ships inc colour skins actully printed etc?

I was wondering why it was taking so long to launch, and this morning, feeling intrigued I clicked on the eucl3d website.. and this came up ..

:( It looks like the offer is no more, they have closed up shop.
Its a massive shame as I know many of us were really excited and planning out which ship we wanted printed.
Its more so a shame for the staff that worked there.
Fingers crossed another company will offer to Print in the near future

This was indeed very sad to hear. I was really looking forward to this as well. Let's hope they get another manufacturer lined up soon!

it is sad, i was tempted but could see the models did look a bit pixellated if you looked closely
hopefully with the open-sourcing of their thingy, someone will take it on
