Hey everyone,
Following Doogie's departure, I've been appointed as Editor-in-Chief of the Stonewall Times :)
Obviously the Times has been on hiatus while we sorted this out, but now I'd like to bring it back.
The first thing I'd like to do is thank you all for your brilliant contributions to the Times in the past – I've really enjoyed reading it over the past year. We've got a great team of contributors and editors here, and I can't wait to work with you on future editions!
Although you've all been contributors in the past, I'd now like to create a number of formal roles by appointing staff writers with responsibility for producing regular content. Each staff writer will have control over a section of the monthly magazine, and will be able to bring their own creative ideas to it.
This will hopefully allow us to share out the workload of producing the magazine each month, and will allow people to take responsibility for a particular section. I know a lot of you guys have already been doing much of the work covered by these new roles, so if you'd like to formally take one of them please let me know :)
Hopefully the recruiting announcement will also bring in some additional talented people to help us with the monthly workload :)
