MMO-wise, I started playing Dark Age of Camelot and absolutely loved it! The PvP was great as well as the PvE. Had many fully templated and levelled toons.

I started playing WoW after that...ugh. It was fun for awhile until they just kept adding new things every week for the 'serious' raiders. Then I just couldn't keep up because fortunately (or unfortunately as the case may be) I do have to work and I have somewhat of a life away from the computer (not sure that it will be obvious once STO starts up as I will be sitting here all the time!!)

It's probably easier to look at my xfire profile however it does NOT accurately show my EF time. Multiply that one by about 30...probably more? Yes, I spent an average of 4 hours a day on that game for about 2 or so years. Not counting the time I was making a few maps for it.

Everything else listed there is about right. Well, not counting my WoW and Guild Wars beta times either.

My first MMOrpg experience was SWG. I didn't even know what a MMORPG was. I played the beta and then the game. I'm not sure how I even got involved in it.
When Wow came out, everyone started leaving, saying how much better it was. I refused to try Wow, because it just looked so silly.
I eventually tried Wow and yes it was a better game, but silly nonetheless.
Somewhere in there I found Eve and played for a good five years.
I've also played EQ, Oh wait that was my first, I just forgot about it, it was soooo forgetable.
I've also played, COH, GW, Tabula Rasa, Rf Online, LOTR, DDO, Aion, AOC, WAR, and many others.

I had my hopes up when STO was first annouced years ago, because Eve just gets a little old, never getting out of your ship, there promises of ambulation have been going on for far too long. Their idea of an expansion is basically a big patch.

While STO's graphics and lack of a feeling of big space, turned me off at first. I have changed my mind by the simple fact that it is the most fun I've had in a mmo ever! and I haven't even played with anyone yet.
I've had fun, every moment of play, and I cant say that about any other game!

Looking forward to meeting you all in game.

I miss Tabula Rasa, no, really.

Wandering around the ground missions in Star Trek online has made me a bit homesick for Tabula Rasa, which, while it had lots of problems at the start was perfectly playble at the end. I'm miss my skitterin! In fact I named one of my ships the USS Skitterin lol. Tabula Rasa did have some beautiful environments to explore.

My first MMO was Planetside, and there are rumors of a Planetside 2 in the works. From there I went to CoH/Cov and Eve Online, where I still have accounts. I also play WoW and am a part of the Taint guild there. I've also played Lineage II and Aion, although when I'm in the mood for grind-fests I turn to Sword of the New World, which is prettier than both and has better music. Although Lineage II does have some great music also. Music in STO is pretty bad, but some of its growing on me. Like a fungus. Eww.
