Final Fantasy XIII

I'm a big Final Fantasy fan from way back when Final Fantasy IV originally came out in the US as Final Fantasy II for the SNES. Since then, every game has been a must-play for me. Final Fantasy XIII is due out in a month. I've been waffling as to if I'll play this game when it launches (especially given just how awesome STO is). However, one of the awesome games editors at the Destructoid blog recently posted an impressions list that blew me away. I am not officially stoked for this game. Anyone else an FF fan or looking forward to XIII?

Ten things I loved about Final Fantasy XIII

I was a final fantasy fan up until the last one which I hated. But 13 looks good, really good in fact but I'm having trouble liking some of the characters.

I'm a little more excited about the FF7 remake that has been hinted at for so long.

im big on final fantasy, have loved all of them. my first was mystic quest lol. i played ff11 online which was nice but hard for me to make friends there so it didnt last long. Im totaly hot for final fantasy XIII and XIV when it come outs lol. so woohoo :)

I love Final Fantasy. The series is very special to me, I began playing it when I was 9 years old, I embarked on a odyssey with the 4 light warriors to save the world. Final Fantasy was always about the journey to me, engrossing myself in the many worlds of final fantasy always felt real to me. I've never had a complaint about any of the games because I suppose I've simply just appreciated the differences that each game has had. Anyway, rock on chemkarate! Great Post.

Huge Final Fantasy fan. Got hooked on number VIII for the PC and never looked back. I still think VIII is the greatest game ever created.

I bought a PS3 back in 2008 for the sole reason that FF13 was going to be exclusively on it (til M$ got its claws on it).

Will definitely be taking time out to play it.

This video is abyssmal quality however I think this has me even more excited about Versus XIII than XIII itself. It's a recording of the most recent footage of Versus XIII at Jump Festa earlier this year.

Nice!, I've always had an affinity to FF13 Versus, when I first saw the previews for this game, I became more excited about it that than the regular FF13 as well. Thanks for the vid evanescent, you're such an awesome guardian force. XD

I've been playing the crap outta FFXIII since i came out. Totally took sick days from work in order to play it. Beat it a while ago, but I've been doing after credits play for side missions, trophies, etc.

Also, FFX was and still is the best in the series, though I did like FFXII and VIII. Also, I don't think VII was really all that great.

We've been investing a considerable amount of time into XIII also! I sort of miss the open feeling of the earlier games. I like XIII but it's very linear. For me VII sort of defined an era. It was the first time a fantasy game had really gotten my attention. I remember my cousins playing I and II (IV), but I was never interested until VII. I have a lot of fond memories of playing VII into the wee hours of the morning with friends!

Am a huge FF fan, but am holding off getting it till the end of the month. I have a huge dissertation to hand in, if I had FF13...it would just be forgotten about, lol

I'm thoroughly enjoying playing FFXII. I like the fact that it's character driven; though some of the characters are a bit...one dimensional, they've grown on me. Fang and Lightning especially.
