World of Tanks

When do you guys play?
I been on all the time lately. I'd love to join you guys in game sometime.

In addition to Peregrine_Lee, I'm also witch131313...I have 2 now, because I just love trying all the different vehicles.

I've barely been able to play at all recently. I could barely even do the new weekly on STO last night without going past my bedtime. : / I'm going to have a new schedule in March, though. Hopefully I'll be able to get on more after that.

You can try all the tanks from a single account, in fact it's easier from a single account. If you save your gold and buy a month of premium, you'll get 150% xp and creds on whichever tank you use, so you can research different tanks faster. The time you spend on another account gaining XP and credits could be spent getting even more XP and credits on your first account and put towards trying the different tanks. (Unless this is just a tank slot thing, then it's just 150g to buy a new slot and you get that every day.)

This game went live on April 12. I've been playing it, (and Rift), in recent weeks. I'm on the NA server as "Seras_Victoria". Still a very fun game, and very high production values for a free2play.

I've been waiting for the French tech tree to go live before I re-started, myself.

It really is a fun little game. You drive around in tanks, blowing stuff up.

Anyway, The game is holding a Model Tanks contest, which I entered. The Devs picked the top 13 entries as finalists. My entry is one of them.
And now its up to the players to vote for the top 5. It's quickly become apparent that the contestant with the most friends will win, regardless of the quality of their entry. The current leader, with 48 votes, is really pretty awful looking.

I am hesitant to do this; I'd prefer a fair compitition with all entries judged on their own merits, but its apparent that the fairness of the competition has been compromised. So, I'm asking any current or former WoT players to have a look and vote for whichever entry you think deserves it.

What gets me about that contest is probably the same that gets you. Something like a popularity contest? The worst tank model up there seems to have the most votes, and an extremely decent model gets -31? (I voted for him, too, because he did a good job and no one deserves their work denigrated due to their popularity)... (I also downvoted that +82 vote tank because.. well it's not a very good job. I don't care if it did start out as scrap metal. Would have looked better if he hadn't tried to paint it. :p )

The results are in and I took 4th place.
And, yes, that metal monstrosity took 1st
Ah well. I had fun building the model, and 4th place wins 20,000 in game gold.
(25,000 gold costs $100 US) I'll enjoy my winnings.

LOVE me some World of Tanks!!!! I've been playing since Beta and still play all the time.

Look me up: Posidius Would be great to have some guildies to go into battle with.

Even if you don't feel like jumping back into the game immediately, getting 50k credits just for logging in can help you to set yourself up in case you want to play again in future.
