My Fishbowl

Hello ladies, gents, and everything else in between.

Those of you who have spoken to me on Vent will have heard a few mentions that the sound coming from my microphone resembles me living in a fish-bowl.

While I, like many of you, do love submerging myself into a tub of water every year or so, I don't live in one.

I can only assume this is because of the acoustics in my living room and that my cat is not acting as a good sound buffer to prevent echoes.(_)

To that end, could any of you that use a gaming headset recommend one to me so that I may end the scourge that is my fishy sounding life on vent?

I use a wired one Tritton AXPro 5.1 digital that I bought last year (but if I got another one... I think i'd go wireless.

To be honest: It's more complicated than it's worth... And has a big price tag... I don't use half the features it comes with.

Logitech G330 - cheap, great quality, corded

I record Priority One with it and you hear the quality on there :)

I second the G330 recommendation; they're hardly top-of-the-line, but I think mine do a great job for the price I paid.

Alternately, the b/f uses a set of Roccat Kave's and says they're good quality and built well, albeit quite heavy for long sessions.

The G330 looks rather nice, might have to get myself one so I can speak on vent.
Found a Logitech G35 which seems like the corded version of that G930 above in the first link.
