wow, I was wondering what this was until I read the youtube description, Ill bookmark and watch later! whats this Phase 2 all about?

Kirk's nephew has been in a few other short filmed star trek episodes.

Star Trek Phase 2 was supposed to be a continuation of the original series with the same cast members plus some new ones. It was supposed to be another 5 year mission and Gene Rodenberry wanted a gay character in the main cast but the script never got picked up. I believe Majel Barret Rodenberry gave the green light on these productions shortly before her death.
