Mass Effect Love

May 02 2013
I started this topic because of a topic started by storm. Several people including myself and storm mentioned Mass Effect.

So I'm wondering did you play male Shep or female Shep and why? Who did you save in ME1 and your love interest(s) throughout the trilogy?

Of course I went with male Shep. Too damn cute, how could I not. ;) There was no choice as who I was going to save in ME1. Ashley was an annoying, rude bitch. She had to go.

My "love" interest in ME1 was Liara. Why, she was a cute blue chick. ME2 I am racking my brain to remember but I have no clue. Probably because all I could do was think about Kaidan and how much I wanted to bed that sexy biotic. Finally ME3, I got my man! :D

LOVE Mass Effect. Was seriously disappointed by ME3 though. It just lacked the polish of ME2 and large amounts of the narrative were cut out for DLC.

With regard to my Shepard, went with the default Male one. As for my romantic arc, it was actually really cool! I really love how it all wrapped up and was one of the high points of ME3 for me.

ME1: Went with Liara because she's the nerdy nice girl as opposed to the creepy space racist.

ME2: Actually, didn't go with anyone. At the end of "Lair of the Shadow Broker", my Shepard and Liara decided to just be friends.

ME3: Went with that sexy shuttle pilot, Cortez. Rawr. He was in pain! How could I say no? Plus, Kaiden had totally turned me off after being a little bitch in ME2.

However, the cool part about my character's romance arc was actually what happened with Liara. At the end of 3, the two share a moment together watching a vision in their minds, and Liara cuddles against Shepard in this "we've been through a lot, but we're cool" way. It had this very strong meaning for me because of the route my Shepard had taken.

It was moments like that which make me love Mass Effect. I'm optimistic that ME3 has taught Bioware a few things about what fans want out of their series and that something awesome gets announced at E3!

Love!! Mass Effect.

Male Shep.. I created my own looking Shep, he was prettty!

ME1 - I killed off Ashley for the same reason, she was confrontational so I wanted her off my ship... but I didnt realize she was mila kunis, back in the old days.. so I should of saved her. I had no romantic interests.. except for the Blue prostitute on the citadel, also had fun on ME1 with the Various armors and styles you could have.. more than ME2-3 :(

ME2 - Miranda.. on my 2nd play through I had the Tattoo girl

ME3 - I went with the pilot.. his Husband had only just died but I convinced him to love me =p

I love the game.. my STO capt's uniform resembles the N7 uniform, Im that obsessed

Went fem shep for ME1 and 2 because i really like jennifer hale voice overs.
I saved and romanced kaiden in ME1 and then managed to only hook up with my assistant in 2 who was a woman (equal opportunities yo).
Then for 3 when kaiden went Bi on us my shep magically changed gender to get it on with kaiden :D

Ditto. Storm and I made our own fleet - Starfleet N7 and Imperial N7. Both fleet uniforms resemble the N7 armor as best as I could make. We made our Vestas with the Alliance Normandy colors. Looks really cool. We did NOT name them in any for "Normandy". However, we named them after the Destiny Ascension. Mine is the SR3-Destiny and storm the SR3-Ascension. Not obsessed at all I tell you. :-P

I don't have a good SS of the KDF uniform unfortunately.

I played them out of order. :P I read that ME1&2 had all gender combos except MM so I intentionally did not play them. Heard they finally introduced a same gender male romance or two in ME3 and picked it up.

ME3 is emotionally devastating if you don't have save files from previous games. Just... everybody and everything that is good is sacrificed. Just too intense.

so...

ME3 (first time): Male shep, my design, kaidan

Male Shepard. Who can resist that face?

I saved Ashley Williams. Really wish I hadn't as I grew to hate her though the games. :P

In 1, I think I romanced Liara. In 2, I wanted romance Jacob so bad! In 3, I romanced Steve Cortez.

I really wanna replay all the games and save Kaidan so I can romance him. :P

I played ME (all three games) so many times, I have romanced every character possible as both a male and female. Man, I could rant on all day about Mass Effect; what a great game!

I will say, I only saved Ash twice because I hate that chick.

Oh god, Jacob... he was just a fucking cocktease that entire game. Especially the way he would lean against that table when you talked to him... *fans self*

I know, right? He kept making comments like, "We should hang out more." and crap like that. I wanted one of those little blue options to come up, but no luck. :(

Maybe this will suffice though:

Hey,

I really REALLY wanted to bed James Vega, He was so into Shep, It made me think that there was meant to be a romantic story there but they cut it out, but hey.. Yeah he would have been fun to bed ;)

If the Normandy is a Rocking don't come a Knocking ;)

Same but I started from ME to ME3 with a female and through ME to ME3 kept with Kaiden. But when I found out when gay romance came out, I jumped off the female band wagon and made my male one and I had been humping kaiden ever since.

No no no, I'm pretty sure you didn't like him. :-P I wanted to bed him just for that fact he was voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr. Mmmm

I'm still planning on doing a renegade play through from ME1-3. I want to wear this outfit for my renegade playthrough in 3. Hot!

I went with female Shepard. If I couldn't be gay, I was gonna be a lady haha. Plus, I found Jennifer Hale's voice acting much better than the male actor.

Saved and romanced Kaiden in ME1(Ashley is probably my least favorite character in the series). In ME2, I ended up falling in love with Thane... He had a sexy voice, and Kaiden was being a dick. In ME3, Thane's romance didn't turn out so great(to put it mildly), so I ended up rekindling things with Kaiden. I really liked how things with Kaiden went in 3, and regret my indiscretions with Thane now...

If I were to replay the series at some point in the future, I'd probably make a man(default -- I could not for the life of me make a decent looking custom male Shep), and be single/save Kaiden in ME1, stay single in 2, and get it on with him in 3.

That said, I would ditch Kaiden for Vega ANY day of the week. In ME3, I wanted him to be a love interest the whole way through :P

I modified the default Male Shep, but only slightly. Slimmer face and more hair.

ME1: I ditched the bitch and saved Kaiden.

ME2: Actually, didn't go with anyone. I was all into Kaiden but it wasn't to be at that time!

ME3: Kaiden (pattern?!) but I was curious about the pilot.

Awesome games. I cried too many times in ME3. Mordin!!!!! He made me laugh and smile and then cry!!! Thane... perfect character. Vega... Just because I would love to have a mate like him!

Emotional roller coaster!

Can't wait for whatever is next!
