Stephen Kings Under The Dome!

Is anyone else excited about this? The fact that it is going to be a 13 week event makes me very very happy. It being on CBS makes me cringe a little. I really hope they don't mess it up.

I've never been much of a Stephen King fan, but this looks interesting enough. Anything that puts out quality sci-fi is good in my book!

Mixed feelings, Golden Years was awesome, basically almost all of the made for tv versions of his stuff have been at least all right. But there is always a chance they can do it like his movies, in which case, it could be ugly.

This looks like it might be pretty good! I love his books! I hope they don't F@$% it up.

I've watched the first three episodes so far and I'm delightfully impressed. So far everything really believable; I was kinda expecting it to be corny and over the top. I like the plot and storyline. Though, its getting to the point where pretty much everyone has a dark secret. I'm looking forward to episode 4.

That is small rural town as far as SK is concerned. Jaws makes people afraid of deep water and sharks,SK has convinced me I would never ever want to do more than visit Maine.

Im liking it, Dave read the story and knows whats going on, but I don't. I hope it stays this good the whole time.

The feel takes me back to "Golden Years".

I only saw the first episode. I have 2 episodes waiting in my DVR. I don't know. The book was over a thousand pages long. They had so much material to work with. I just wasn't very happy with the first episode and the cheesy special effects with the cow and the plane. I was interested that they had a lesbian couple, one who is african american. I'll watch the episodes eventually. :-)

See. I can see with a movie cutting things out and having your own ideas. But this was an epic book and this is a 13 or so episode TV series with a possible season 2. They could do so much and the first episode just felt flat. They changed too many things. Junior is effin hot though.

I am really trying to like this show. But they made the main character this "killer". Barbie in the book is a good guy and he's older. I guess they just wanted the eye candy or something.

I don't know, now that I've finally caught up on it, I'm kind of liking the show. I was expecting them to make some changes though in adapting it into a television series, so I've been trying to keep an open mind and treat them as separate entities. So far, it's been working for me.

Although, admittedly, I'm sure it also helps that I've developed a little crush on the guy that plays Barbie, haha... :blush:

Yeah the guy who plays Barbie is easy on the eyes. But I am in love with Junior. I mean those lips. *melt*

For me the deceased sheriff was more my speed. :)
