Supreme Court Ruling Party Thread

June 27 2013
You probably already heard about today's supreme court decision. I can't wait for NYC Pride this Sunday. It's gonna be NUTS;)

Feel free to post your thoughts and feelings about the ruling here!

I myself am kinda ambivalent about it. The only friends I have who are anywhere close to getting hitched live in North Carolina, where it will remain unrecognized by the state. But, one by one, the states are stepping up, and pretty soon my friends can file both state and federal joint taxes, I hope:B
That's not to say this isn't an amazing turn of events and I am happy about it, but it won't feel real until my friends can get married.

Great.. just great.. Now what am I going to use for an excuse when my BF asks "where my ring at?" It used to be: "gee I'd love to marry ya honey but.. it's against the law. What can I do my hands are tied." :P

I keed I keed of course this a wonderful event and a turning point in our struggle. Like women's suffrage and civil rights before it, you can't leave marriage equality up to the general populace. I hope the people who fought against our rights look back on all that they done one day and remember with shame and regret what they did in the name of their supposed morality.

You can always show solidarity towards those who live in religious zealot run states who are still treated as third class citizens and do a Brangalina thing ;-)
