If you've ever wondered why it's so hard to "come out of your shell" or why it's so hard to pull your friend "out of his/her shell", then this infographic is for you.

As a fully accredited member of the Introverts guild, I largely agree with this. :P It's a good "cliffs notes" introduction, as with most things, there's a lot more to it.

Thanks for sharing!

Just because someone is introverted doesn't mean they don't like company.

I wish more people understood this...

Thank you for sharing! :)

Informative. Never knew how bad I was being to introverts. I am truly sorry.

If you remember who they are, call them up, talk to them. :)

We like to talk; some of us might talk your ear off, given the chance. A lot of us have a lot of stuff inside that never has an outlet because people simply assume that we are anti-social and eventually exclude us from their lives.

A friend of mine who is an introvert, as well, hangs out with me on skype quite often. I do more talking than him, but most of the time is spent in silence if neither of us has anything to say. It doesn't bother either of us, we like the company we offer each other.

I am an introvert. I can relate to everything and here is some more things I found. Most fit me to a 'T'.

Very cute... admittedly, the opposite of myself in most ways, but I love introverts too!

This is great and so very me lol. I've been told I'm socially phobic so I've had various forms of CBT, recently I'm realising that there is nothing wrong with not wanting to be around people all the time. I'm very happy being quiet and in my own space doing my own thing. I have close friends I interact with on a fairly regular basis. I'm much happier in myself now I've realised these things and removed the pressure I was putting on myself!

I am totally an I! I prefer to be in my own house though I do go out and socialize with a few friends on occasion. I prefer watching movies using my own home theatre environment (kind of have a germ phobia) as well as prefer to invite friends over as opposed to going over to friends (though I do visit on a rotating basis and only if the drive isn't incredible). I live with a total I and tend to be friends with I's more than E's. My Ex was as extreme an E as possible but we managed to last 8 years. Well...enough said!

In the last picture, she reminded me of Joan from Mad Men.

Of course the girl in the cartoon is quite the opposite of Joan

My boyfriend and I are the same way. Still he sometimes doesn't fully realize going out can be stressful for me. Hell team speak and MMOs can be stressful some days
