5th Annual Las Vegas Star Trek Convention Meetup

Well Fleetie Darlings! It's that time again. Time to start planning for our annual meetup at the Creation Star Trek Convention in Fabulous Las Vegas!

Members of Stonewall Fleet, old and new, come every year to the Rio All Suite Hotel to have a geeky blast at one of the largest Star Trek conventions in the world with the consistently highest number of celebrity attendees per year.

If you're planning on going or would like more information please feel free to post your questions here or on our Stonewall Vegas Group. Cheaper ticket packages post on the Creation site closer to the the actual convention date which is July 31st to August 3rd. I also recommend using Cheaptickets and Orbitz for hotel/flight packages as you do get a decent discount when you bundle.

I will continue to post updates on this thread and in the group as the date draws nearer.

Still no promises. Turns out I'm getting sent to a conference in Vegas at the bottom of June.

So going twice in a summer may be a bit of a, shall we say, expense.

Once I get my witch's broom repaired I will fly up. Lol, I won't be able to go this year, sadly. Besides, who ever will watch over the fleet? I'm pretty confident in saying that the rest of our Admiral's will end up in jail/detox for public indecency, disorderly conduct and drive-by "taste the rainbow" skittle attacks. I refuse to pay bail money for them again :P

Trying to plan the trip.... However, if my pool team does well in regional play (sometime in May or June) we will be going to Vegas mid-August. Not sure which event I would rather attend.... :blink:

All I can say is that this will be my 5th time going and it's always an amazing time. The group that appears to be going is much bigger than previous years so you get to geek out.. but Vegas style. Getting drunk with Vulcans, Orion slave boys and scantily-clad Edo ;)

WOOT! VEGAS BABY! Just got my vacation time approved! I'll be staying at the Blue Moon (Gay Men's Resort - Only one in Vegas!). Me and BF will fly in Thursday afternoon for a fantastic weekend of Star Trek Goodness! Can't wait to meet everyone in person.

I'll be in Vegas the following week, so I doubt I'll be able to make it for the convention too. I'm going to be jealous of you all though!

Well, the good news is I'm cleared for my reimbursements for the last huge conference weekend. (Goddamn that was pricey)

Still have to book my own conference air and hotel for June, so still a work in progress, y'all.
