Dear Mr. Shipwright,
I did manage to take my Fleet Arbiter to over 40K dps since I joined the game this summer, and with the upgrade weekend coming up over the New Year weekend, I'm planning to continue with some serious upgarding.
Here's my ship at the moment.Handle: kuznetsov@reverendmike
My next upgrades would be the aft weapons to Epic, followed my the shield. Once done, I have some questions.
Firstly, perhaps for deflector, shields, engine and core you might have other suggestions? I've now opened up all the reputations, so can theoretically change my current set up for anything that might be better. Maybe I'd be better off going Iconian or getting Romulan Engines(I frequently have TT, ATB, FAW, ATA and Tactical Fleet running at the same time)? I'd really appreciate your advise before I invest in upgrading what I already have on NY weekend.
Secondly, if I do stick with what I have now, I've read somewhere that the Assimilated deflector adds a [Threat] generating mod at Epic, which I surely don't want! The STO Academy planner didn't show that, but showed SS/SI instead, which I do want. Will I get +17%ish threat generation if I go epic with it or not?
Thank you very much in advance for your help!
MXAHNY!
Mike
PS
I'm sure I wouldn't survive very long without the Assimilated heal proc. If I change to other gear, it would have to help cover this gap in defense.
And just for info, my current play style is at full throttle with Improved Pedal, while turning a lot to target my DBBs using my decent turn rate (from fleet RCS, Advance Engine reputation trait and other stuff), or more rarely park at below 2km and shoot, like at the back of an enemy dreadnought, for instance.
My set up is Aux2Batt for Weapons power and BO cooldown, All Hands on Deck for Captain cooldown, and Plasmonic Leech for energy.
