if i was just looking for some doff assistance, what info would be required to enable someone to suggest what would be good for me slot into active duty?

atm im basicaly not using any.

toon is a 60 eng, t6 fleet arbiter (the fed battle cruiser) phaser beam arays with 1 torp.

I have filled out the form and submitted it.

Two additions to my current build on stoacademy (http://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/?build=lars1091dilara_0) though:
- The torpedo on front is a Krenim Chroniton Torpedo, but couldn't find that in the list.
- Could you also take a look at my skillbuild? My current skillbuild is absolutely not optimized for the playstyle I mentioned in the form, so I would like some info on how to respec too. Respec-tokens are not a problem, since I'm a lifetimer.

Skills are pointless ATM as they are being changed shortly lars. It's best fielding that one after the update :)

The revamp is a long ways off, I think it'll be mid March early April at the earliest before it'll come around. (counting Lockbox 3 month cycle, October was Season 11 and Herald was released. 3 month later Mirror Lockbox was released with no major update, next lockbox should coincide with 11.5 and that's not due until Mid/Late April)

So I think it's beneficial to do the build so you're not suffering for a month and a half or longer.

As of this week, I have spent sometime playing around with the new skills in Tribble. Let me tell you, it is interesting/less complicated/not as intuitive as they say, but it does make a world of difference when creating a build. I would start saving respec points since this operates like the intel/command/pilot/commando skill trees, when you select a skill you buy it. I made mistakes the first time I selected my builds. -my 2 cents.

As a SCI main I'm not exactly the tankiest and don't have the highest DPS output but I'd like to see what a more experienced player might recommend (mainly for the boat, I'm pretty happy with my Jem'Hadar ground kit). I put all the info in the form and did the planner thing, but in case you need it here too:

I tend to run my default power levels (from left to right) at 100/50/25/25, hot-swapping to shields or aux as needed. I didn't see anything in the form or planner about active duty doff abilities, so I attached a screenshot.



And before anyone says anything, yes I know the D'Kyr isn't generally considered a good boat, and yes I know it doesn't have boff specialist seats, but I love it anyway and will continue to fly it until I have the modules to buy a Fleet Scryer Intel.

My only T6 is that slow, ugly Krenim abomination, which I only flew long enough to max out its traits.

If you're only looking at min/maxing then that's probably true, if you fly a specific ship because you love it, there's absolutely nothing wrong with flying it :)

I have just joined the fleet but I wanted suggestions on a new ship. I'm a Federation Rear Admiral Upper level. My character is a tactical Capitan.
Should I wait to get a new fleet or upgraded ship until I get to level 60?

You can access all the ships in the game at level 50 so that is the level that you choose what kind of ship will be your endgame ship.

As a tactical captain its quite likely you will want an escort and there are so many to choose from.

I should add the last ship you get for free is at level 40. Beyond this you need to either buy a ship from the exchange or from the cstore. We are happy to have a chat with you about how you like to fly to be able to advise then on what ship we think would work for you.

Ok That kinda sucks I like free ships. :) I'll put in a request after I hit level 50.
I guess it should only take a few days. It's kinda funny I've been playing less than a month and I'm almost a Fleet Adm. I'm sure if I tried I could get it done in less than a week.

(I was the one from last night who went with you on a team Fleet alert)

the intelligence, pilot & command tiers are all boosters of a sort.
Each time you gain a level from level 50 onwards.. you will get a skill point to spend in them. (Or sometimes STO will give you skill point as freebies, in new missions or for Promotions sake)

You can choose a primary.. and a secondary skill tree.
Its best to focus putting all your skill points into one Tier at first.. for eg, I put all my points when i get them into Intelligence, as I think the boosts you get for it, works better for my Science guy.

Go through and read what each unlocked skill can do for you, it will work in the background, boosting some of your ability's.

The Shipwright Boys can explain things better than I can, and can advise you on what Skill tree suits your role best (tac, sci, eng)

Thanks. It's almost like the game doesn't really start till level 50. And I miss not getting a new free ship :( it looks like ill have to buy Zen to get a new/better ship

Be sure to visit planet Risa, at the summer resort, you can get a Free T6 ship right now!, as long as you do a race course each day to save up some tokens.

Here is more info on the free ship.

That can tide you by until you enjoy the game enough to buy ships.. or when there is a ship sale
