Romulan Uniform Voting

Unfortunately, while we received several designs for Romulan uniforms, all of them were based off of locked parts that can't be used in Fleet Uniforms.

After reviewing the Romulan clothing options, its easy to see why. They have very few basic options that are unlocked and any of the more stylistic options are locked and often faction specific.

We'll have to review and revise our uniform guidelines soon to select an appropriate uniform for our Romulan friends. If you have any questions about your uniform submissions, please feel free to contact me directly.

It doesn't really matter. Even the Romulan Fed 1 & 2 and Romulan Klingon 1 & 2 uniforms are considered "locked". That's part of the reason why its so limited. Most of the Romulan uniforms are only unlocked through gameplay.

I, personally, think a cross-faction Romulan uniform would be the best.

What about my options, using the basic create-a-character options? I was thinking that would work for all beginners to have access, I mean, the uniforms aren't mandatory for fleet gatherings, so, they can be less flashy than later outfits you can craft, like the group existed before the homeworld was destroyed, or at least, before the republic.

Hmm how much gameplay is needed to unlock? Is that a restriction in creating a fleet uni in the system or can we try and make the effort to achieve to just unlock it?

If I remember right, you can join a fleet at level 5, Romulans pick a faction at level 11. Also, a fleet can only have one set of uniforms per the game mechanics, so Stonewall Legion would have to have a cross-faction uniform, which severely limits our options even if we set it to level-11 costumes.

I think the idea was to have a uniform that our romulan players could wear regardless of alignment so those in HNR and legion would by flying the same colours.

You can not join a fleet until you pick a faction, which means that any toons in the fleet would have full access to that factions basic uniform items. Why would Fed Aligned Rommies (slaves) want to look like KDF dogs? ;)

You can't join a fleet till you choose a faction, which happens at level ten.

I'm not sure what the limit is on fleet uniforms, but we've never reached it. We aren't limited by any game mechanics other than that.

Because, at the end of the day, they're all Romulan. :P

Really though, the idea of a uniform is so that we're all uniform. If we separate the uniforms for romulans based on faction, it'll split an already small number of characters that show up to fleet events making us look even less uniform.

Fair Enough. :) Any Romulan toon high enough to join a fleet would have full access to all the basic items and RR uniform items (minus the factions specific ones)

Truthfully, I just say throw on the Tal Shiar outfit and call it a day.
