I got the code completely mistaken and thinking it was a different game, but it was a pleasant surprise when I started playing. :) I dunno how much I can say because I can't remember if there was a NDA, but it's definitely worth checking out. The graphics are ABsolutely gorgeous, and the city view from the starting area puts Coruscant to shame. :3

The game feels a lot like Phantasy Star Online, to me. Beautiful graphics, extraordinary vistas, a very basic lobby area, hack and slash and pew gameplay. It's fun, but only for a little while at a time.

Then again when I was in the Warframe closed beta they only had 1 map and no ship.

How do you like it?

I loved it. I love the progression system which is very similar to FF X and FF XIII. Every character can be every class. I was making my way to necromancer when the Beta ended I'll be resuming the journey when Open Beta Starts later this week.

All of the missions seem to be instanced; some private, some public. In the CB you had 3 sort of lobby zones: A training / customisation area, the mission staging area (A beautiful big library with a giant holographic globe in the centre), and a sort of park / promenade area that looks to be for socialisation purposes only (I didn't really get very far before the beta ended). I expect that there will be many more beautiful maps opened up, but I don't really expect it to be an open world game. As I said before, quite a lot like Phantasy Star Online. Very fun, but only in small doses for me.

One of the things that stands out most, to me, is the character creation. You start out as a centurion in futuristic Roman lorica and a futuristic Corinthian helmet. In the CB you started automatically as a male (so far as you can tell) in this fully enclosed armour and you are telling your tale of how you arrived. As you begin to tell your tale, you are transported to the starting zone to 're-live' the tale. Once you get to the training area, you take a class, but your awesome lorica and helmet are removed and you are able to select your gender, customise your body and face, and select some clothing.

I'm with WhiteOnmyoji, the Cryomancer is very VERY cool. My friend played a Paladin but, while it was ostensibly a tanking class, he got no tanking skills for a while. Once he did, though, I was no longer constantly stealing aggro from him.

Considering the type of relationship I have with games and gaming, I'd say that for everyone else, this game would be a LOT of fun and that you would like it a lot.

I like it, as someone who embraces altitism the fact that if I get bored with a class I can simply click a button and change everything is awesome. But I still want to see everything else they roll out to see how it all works in but so far I've been very impressed. I will say the dialogue is atrocious...it's like they haired Syfy's movie writers.

So Once I get my 20K Credits in Open Beta I will be creating Stonewall Immortals. Let me know the names and I'll send out invites
