The New Fleet Armada System

This is very good news for both our Fleet and all the other LGBTQI Fleets out there though I confess I'm surprised it took Cryptic this long to implement it. City of Heroes/Villains had a very similar system in place and it's the same Cryptic engine for both games. It's basically guild alliances which will allow up to 13 Fleets to share in resources with the largest Fleet being the lead one. Did someone ask for an alpha Fleet? lol

I love this idea. I take it there are safeguards in place with the resources?

It would be awesome if they allowed this to be cross-factional. Needless to say, it will be a boon to us internally in addition to any outside fleets that we partner with.

Nice. Does that mean we will recognise fleetmember easier when they're not in the same fleet as the toon I'm playing on at that moment? Because that would be nice.

Finding out about this system is part of what brought me to the forums. :) Very much hoping to ally my little fleet with Stonewall.

This amuses me because armada is just Spanish and Portuguese for "fleet". :3

Different connotation in English, though. "Enormous fleet it will take an act of God to defeat."

As opposed to "fleet," which is just a bunch of ships.

One of the devs posted that the Armadas will be faction specific so HNR will be kind out on its own for this one. We won't be creating any new fleets just to fill slots in the Armada, but instead will be looking for other fleets to join us.

LOL if history is any indicator, armadas won't be cross-factional. The two likely internal setups would be A) Stonewall Fleet(alpha), Deep Space Stonewall(beta), Stonewall Legion(beta) or B)Stonewall Fleet(alpha), Deep Space Stonewall(beta), Stonewall Legion(gamma).

My in-game handle is @trailfoot and my fleet is Joint Operations Command: Nimbus Sector. I'd like to join as a Gamma fleet, if possible - that would do my fleet the most good, and allow us to contribute the most to the armada as a whole. I'm not trying to rush things (since that would be kinda awful of me) but wanted to make myself available for the Admiralty to talk to about that.

Our fleet Admiral has noted your fleet wanting to join in the Armada, and it has been added to the list of fleets that have contacted us.
Once in game, and we have the chance to set things up and research the new fleet systems, we will be in contact with you.
