Tactical Vessel

So I've loved my Advanced Multi Vector Escort but think it's time to upgrade to a new Tier 6 ship. Any recommendations? I've got almost entirely cannons in my arsenal. Are the pilot vessels any good?

In a word yes, but actuslly my advice would be to wait. We know a tier 6 defiant and a tier 6 Prometheus are coming in the near future. It might be worth checking them out before commiting funds.

Also the ship trait on the phantom Intel escort is amazing and if you don't have that ship it is another one worth considering.

I did, the stats should be appearing and i imagine the ships will launch this thursday.

Escort carriers are nice but wont be as tactically focused as a Defiant

Well we dont know what the stats will be yet which is why i was suggesting a wait and see strategy over buying now.

She's always been my favourite class of ship since her inception. I'm incredibly pleased that they didn't go the Fisher-Price route with her and that they have the new, upgraded standard Akira skin out that they announced, today.

She is a beauty. The new skin might tempt me back into the pure canon design.

I love the Akira, I run her as a torpedo boat and do fairly well with her. I am hoping with this new update to her they finally put all her consoles together as a set.

The rom ship is tempting me a little as well since i have one of her other forms... least i think i do.

Still Its good to see the Akira come back for another round.

After seeing the bottom of the ship, I take it all back. They did Fisher-Price it. I would have been so pleased if they would have done justice to Alex Jaeger's initial design by creating a simple, single deck through and through hangar with doors at the leading and trailing edges of the saucer.

I agree that lower hull made me cringe. One of the things I loved about the Akira was that it was a carrier torpedo boat. She was sleek something any engineer would be proud of.
