so as a pretty new player, i know the game has been arround for years but ive not. so started with an engineer and have been using an advanced tactical ship (promethius without the multivector coolness) and while i like it, i do. it breaks really easily and that i dont love so much. so i know that crusers are mero sturdy but slower. thing is ships are sooooooo expensive. i get that if you hav ebeen playing for years 100k dilithium might be noething but its a lot to me.

so, is there any sort of recomended ships, good, easy to play with and dont require frantic button cliciking to be be awesome or just to survive?

i realise that i might be asking how long is a peice of string but i dont know enough about the game to know if i am.

You will find us very good with giving suggestions. Best idea is to ask in the game chat channel or teamspeak, many factors make a difference.

I think you would love the Avenger (it's called the Battlecruiser in the ship requisition screen). It is a C-store ship though and costs 2500 Zen, that would be about 25 euro's, I guess the same in dollars. Or if you are willing to work hard for it and get the dilithium to convert it, it would currently cost about 570.000 dilithium (believe me, buying the zen is way cheaper - plus you get extra's on your first time of buying zen).
The Avenger is in my opinion a great ship and well worth the zen. It's been a while since I have flown it, so I can't remember the specifics exactly, but you can read about it here on the sto-wiki. I have always thought of it as excellent combination of an escort and a cruiser (and looks quite nice too!).

I would say if yuo find the escort a bit hectic you might want to try the tray 7 keybind if you havent already.
If your not sure what it is i can help you set it up in game sometime. It will help to automate alot of the functions of your ship by binding them to the spacebar key.

With regards to ships i would recommend going for a T6 ship as the space traits make them worthwhile.

How are you planning to buy the ship your getting?

" How are you planning to buy the ship your getting? "

erm dunno. not really thought that far, in part due to seeming that you get bonuses for doing stuff with each ship so its a bad idea to chop and change ships alot. so errr yeah no idea.

I mean in game EC for lockbox/lobi or use zen for a c-store ship or using dil to buy a ship.

Remember that you can convert dilithium to Zen in the Zen market, and there are a bazillion ways to obtain Dil--easiest is to always run Doff assignments. Right when you leave game, get as many Doff assignments as you can, and you'll be earning Dil even when you're out of game. There's also the Vlugta mine and other ways.

Well you can unlock the bonuses from a T6 ship fairly quickly and then apply that ship trait to another ship you fly. I have bought ships to get the ship trait solely to use on another ship i like to fly.

ahhh so you unlock with the ships but they unlock traits in the character so tied to him and not the ship. so nothing wrong in having several ships then?

So just to review the math, assuming you're not talking a Lockbox or Lobi ship, before discounts from sales or bundles, you're spending $30 for a trait.
