Hangar pets

Does anyone have any recommendations for purple hangar pets for any ship that carries them? I've got the command battlecruisers (all factions), dreadnaught warbirds, Breen carrier (winter event), and the multi-mission science explorers. Eventually, I'll probably get those T6 escort carriers. I saw several different types of hangar pets in the dilithium store, some of which are limited by faction or ship type and was wondering what everyone was using.

If you buy hanger pets get elite ones from the starbase it makes a big difference.

I am a big fan of Yellowstone runabouts and elite scorpion fighters (the scorpions are bought from the romulan reputation system)

Thanks. I haven't seen the hangar pets at a starbase, but then I haven't really looked at the ship weapons and other stuff either. I have the max Romulan rep on all characters, and I did see those hangar pets costing 35,000 dilithium.

The Received Wisdom in the various forums is that the Rom Rep scorpion are tied for the best ship-non-specific pets, especially for unshielded targets like the Borg structures in the STFs and the Crystalline Entity, and that the Spire Obelisk Swarmers are the other option.

From there, everyone has a different favorite. Because the piloting AI for the pets is...not optimized, shall we say, beams will be more friendly than cannons. Yellowstones are really good, especially for crowd control. I've heard that Delta Flyers help if you're flying a torpedo boat. I've had good luck with the Nukara rep pets, too.
