A complete list of all current patrols

March 18 2016
For the last few months I've been busy with making a complete list of all patrol missions currently in the game, since I have not been able to find a list myself anywhere (which was kind of annoying since there is no way to tell ingame if a system has a patrol available or not other than flying to it).
I went to each system currently in the game and noted if there was a patrol there. If so, I added a brief recap, any miscellaneous information and the rewards it gives (usually just Skill Points and Expertise, but occasionally also Dilithium or Marks). I did this on a FED character though, but as far as I know, there are no patrols available for KDF characters other than those in the Delta Quadrant anyway.

Out of curiosity, isn't it possible to see them in the 'available' tab of the mission window? I'm not sure what it's actually called, that's the closest guess I can give you.

Nope. Only one patrol is shown there. As I understood it, that is a remnant from when the patrols were random missions given to you. Even if they were all showed there, you still wouldn't have a good overview of them all.

Oke, I added the link to the main post.
I actually wanted it to be downloadable, so you could change stuff to your own liking, but I was unable to find a site where the file stays available forever while not having to pay for it. Except for one (nexusmods.com), but they needed to verify STO is an actual game, but they're taking too long.

That's a shame, thanks for all the work you put into making this. Hopefully someone that's good at organising stuff on our forums can make it into a nice little post/thread that can be pinned :)

I have uploaded a downloadable version of the list for those that want it:
http://www.nexusmods.com/startrekonline/mods/1/?

You do need to make an account on that website to be able to download it, but it's all free.

Now this is amazing.
Thank you so much!
Are you open to any suggestions?
I've been looking for some patrols to complete accolades but it was hard to find any information on what kind of enemy there is to fight - I could add that info in my spare time if I happen to know it.
And there is also some acco info I could add, ie. for the Deferi sattelite mission :)
Anyway, the list is extremely helpful and I admire all the work!

As an accolade hunter this information would be very useful...

What I'd like to see is this list integrated with a marked-up quadrant/sector map so you can actually plan a route. The system names honestly don't convey a lot of useful info. I'm thinking assign each sector an XY coordinate, and add the patrol system's sector coordinate info as a cell in the spreadsheet.

Mini-example with the BETA Quadrant grid:

BETA-Y1
BETA-Y2
BETA-Y3
BETA-Y4
BETA-Y5
BETA-Y6
BETA-Y7
~~~~~~~BETA-X1 BETA-X2 BETA-X3 BETA-X4 BETA-X5 BETA-X6
So this means the Vulcan Sector would be located at BETA-X1Y3, Qo'noS Sector would be at BETA-X4Y6, Azure Sector (New Romulus) would be at BETA-X4Y4 and so forth. The same method would apply to the Alpha (shorter & wider) and Delta (single column) maps.
That way, you could sort the list by the sector coordinate column in the spreadsheet and plan a route: "I want to patrol in the Beta Quadrant from X1Y1 to X6Y1, then drop down and backtrack from X6Y2 to X1Y2" or whatever quadrant/routing is wanted.
Oh, didn't know about that. I thought Nexus introduced that a while ago. Thanks for pointing that.
That would be do-able, yeah. I'll see if I can add it somewhere next week.
Just discovered a map on the wiki with a grid designation layout similar to what I described, so that makes it even easier...there's no need to grid it out from scratch! B)
Check it out:
OK I was bored (plus I needed a patrol list for Delta mark farming), so I went ahead and downloaded and modified Lars' spreadsheet in Excel:
  • Added a column with map grid coordinates per the image above
  • Added the image above to each quadrant tab of the spreadsheet for grid reference
  • Color-coded the quadrant tabs (bottom of the Excel window) per map icons for better visibility
  • Sorted each tab by Patrol Y/N then by Grid Coordinates
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AuA8ZgMwuh9Mh55QgZezttW1RjVUeZ2_D02-u2iayac/edit?usp=sharing
I'm not sure if the sort will survive being uploaded or if that's just on my local copy, so if it doesn't, here's how to sort it in Excel 2010 (other versions similar) to list the patrol systems at the top in map grid order:
  1. On the Excel ribbon Home tab, click the Sort & Filter button, usually at top right
  2. Select Custom Sort from the menu to open the sorting options panel
  3. From left to right, select Patrol?/Values/Z to A from the dropdown lists
  4. Click the Add Level button at top left
  5. From left to right, select Map Grid/Values/A to Z from the dropdown lists
That should sort the list as described above. You can also use this method to sort it in other ways, of course.
