Looking for help with time-gated crafting

I'm working on my precursor and I'm currently stuck at the second step. I've got everything I need save one component, Deldrimor Steel Ingot. The current step I'm on requires 60 of them and since Lumps of Mithrillium are time-gated to 1 per 24 hours, it'll take me 2 months to gather that much. I'm hoping some generous members, that aren't crafting them for their own use, would help me craft some of the ingots.

Why don't I just buy it off the trading post? It's expensive. They cost about 2 gold more per ingot when buying them off the trading post. I have a decent stock pile of gold right now, but I'm trying to save that for stuff I can't grind, find or collect other ways.

What do you need? A character with level 450 Armorsmith, Artificer, Huntsman or Weaponsmith. After that, all you have to do is login once a day to craft the ingot for as long as you're willing to help.

What will I provide? I'll give you all the different ingots, ecto and thermo reagent that you need to craft the ingots. I'll mail you all the stuff, you just need to send back the Deldrimor Steel Ingots.

What do you get in return? My eternal appreciation and the knowledge you helped another guild mate on their quest for a legendary weapon. I currently have Weaponsmith 500 and Armorsmith 450 so if you need help crafting any of the other time-gated materials that I can craft, I'd be happy to return the favor.

I haven't logged in for a while, but I have all GW2 crafting disciplines mastered across various characters. I can craft for you if nobody who's actively playing is available. Just let me know.


Edit: Tried to login to check because I'm sure I have a bunch of ascended mats collecting dust in storage, was going to check and see how much time I could save you and of course the 2-factor authentication failed. I put in a ticket to get it sorted but Anet support is a bit slow (not as bad as Cryptic/PWE tho). It will probably be Monday or Tuesday before I can login.

I have 36 mithrillum and one finished ingot stashed. My toons all have ascended kit so unless something radical changes, I won't really need to craft anything for a while. I should probably keep at least some though, so how does swapping for the ingot and 30 more sound?

That cuts your time in half.

If you like, you can try the farming routes I use. Just go to my wiki page and scroll down to copy/paste the map chat codes for the wp's and poi's for each zone. If you like, I can login and team up to show you the route.

How do you keep the links handy while you're in-game?

Select & copy the line of chat codes, then just paste it into a whisper to yourself. It helps if you have a separate chat tab for just whispers, that way it's not likely to scroll away too soon.

I was wrong, what's the Sanctum Harbor Waypoint [&BC8EAAA=] for? I don't see any nodes there.

Lol, that's just an "all done, back to town" jump since after a run there's usually stuff needing recycled, sold, stored etc. I put that routing code string together long before Lion's Arch got rebuilt, so these days Trader's Forum would actually be closer to everything.

You're list of waypoints pushed me to put together a list of my own. Keeping it all in one long list was way too hard for me to keep track of where I was so I put a webpage together to track it.

There's a nice little filter at the top to hide ores you're not interested in. Clicking the copy button copies the waypoint url to your clipboard and you can just paste it in chat. Clicking the button also changes the row to green to track which you've already done. You can double click the row to remove the highlight incase you do it on accident. Just refresh the page to reset it.

Anywho, just thought I'd share if you ever get back to farming! I'll probably do more with it as time goes on.

That could definitely be handy when looking for only one ore type. True my list can be a bit unwieldy, but I started playing GW2 during prelaunch so I got so familiar with the Tyria base map I never had to think about where I was at any given time or which ores were where. If I was looking for one or the other, I'd just skip the ones that yielded the "wrong" kind of ore. I set it up to move in a semi-linear progression along the map with the shortest/cheapest waypoint jumps (more distance=more cost). And of course if I was seriously farming, I'd run the route on each toon for moar gatherz.

Let me know when you need stuff converted from base ores to Deldrimor. I have plenty of time-gated mithrillium, it's all the other stuff that's lacking. Between what you got from Aikune and what I can convert for you, you should be down to about a week or two total. :)

Yeah, I need to organize the list a little better to be more cost efficient. I added all the static rich ore nodes to the list from the reddit thread. It might've changed since you last played, but rich ore nodes can only be mined once per account per day. Sometimes you can mine them more than once if you guest to another server, but that's a bigger pain that I'm willing to go through.

I'm working on gathering all the ores you'll need. I'll get you the ingredients soon-ish.
