I love how this puts the perspective of the Empire in clear view. He is fighting for what he believes in, and his girlfriend fought and died for what she believed in. 

Makes you really think about the differences in the various cultures on this rock floating through space. Doesn't change our own viewpoints as to what each of us believes is right and wrong but it does shed some light on the way others see right and wrong.
