Volume 2 Issue 7 Layout now Available - Need Authors for major article + HUGE changes inbound (PLEASE READ!)
Hello, everyone :D
Please visit this link to see Vol 2 Issue 7's layout. We will be pushing this issue on Thursday, September 1st, so we have quite a bit of work between now and then -- We need to turn in the completed playout to Christian at least a week before (so that gives us 17 days) Looks like it is going to be another great issue :) As of right now, I have a few assignments up based on your suggestions/ past articles but there are a couple articles that still need authors for a few articles.
As you will see for the layout, we are going to be splitting the Times into 3 sections: Joint articles, STO articles, and SWTOR articles. This will allow for the advancement of including SWTOR articles as we are getting closer and closer to launch and have had quite a bit of new members sign up that will only be playing SWTOR.
Please respond in this thread if you have any other ideas for articles, or problems with the layout =)
I would really like everyone to respond to this thread in the Stonewall Writers group to find out what everyone thinks.

I had planned on splitting the Holocron articles... one writer for each article. I will take on both if we can't get someone to handle the Infiltrator, but I had planned on doing the Trooper articles.
In other words, can you add Holocron Access: Infiltrators to the "Needs Writers" list, but I will plan on covering it if we can't find a volunteer.
Also... since is my first go-around, do we submit the articles to you? Or will the document eventually be directly editable so we can add them that way?

Mike C. will have the Agent article tonight or tomorrow and I'll do a copyedit and proofread on it shortly after he completes it.
Has there been any confirmation from Nick that he'll be able to provide a "State of the Fleet" article regarding the Knights and Lords of Stonewall?

We are also going to be looking for a new Graphic Artist that can put together the Times this month since Christian is away for work. Does anyone receiving this message use InDesign or would like to take a stab at creating a layout for the Times similar to what we have now? Christian said, if you do use InDesign, he would be able to forward the templates to use.

I've been unusually busy with work the last couple of weeks. HOWEVER, if the Times is really in a pinch and Christian can get me the templates he uses to me, my professional background IS Graphic Design, and I'll fill in while he's unavailable.
I have legitimate copies of the entire Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign CS5, Acrobat Pro 8.0, CS1 for Photoshop, Illustrator) and the expertise to use them. Besides, it'll be an opportunity to dust off those skills I haven't used in a while and create a new template for the Holocron Access sections.
I will PM you my email address so you can pass it along to Christian.

I want to give a HUGE thank you to every single one of you for helping make this one of our best issues yet -- I also want to give TITANIC kudos to Mike T, our new Senior Editor of the Times for SWTOR, for his amazing work in creating a new layout that is STUNNING, writing a bunch of articles, and working for hours on end to get this out -- you, sir, are awesome!
