Armadas

Background

Founded in 2008, Stonewall Fleet is one of Star Trek Online's oldest and largest fleet, and we're proudly the premier gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and ally fleet within the game! Stonewall Fleet is the eponymous Alpha fleet of the Stonewall Armada, and the House of Nagh reD is the Klingon counterpart as Alpha Fleet in the Nagh reD Armada.

Our goal is to create a safe and welcoming place for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and ally players in their favourite MMO and facilitate members participation in all aspects of game play that we are able. As well, it is our duty to help educate and inform players on sexual orientation and gender identity issues.

Benefits of being a part of any of the two Armadas:

  • You will gain access to Fleet Holdings that are completely finished and give you access to all the unlocked stores, and other Holding benefits. Both Stonewall Fleet and House of Nagh reD will give you access to:
    • Tier V Starbase
    • Tier III Embassy
    • Tier III Dilithium Mine
    • Tier III Spire
    • Tier III Research Lab
    • Tier III Station K-13
    • Tier V Colony World
  • Your Fleet projects will be completed more quickly, while at the same time your Fleet Members will have access to more opportunities to donate to projects.
  • You will become part of a very welcoming and fun community, giving you access to all the stores both in-game and out-of-game, social events, and shared online platforms. In addition, we believe in diversity! This means that you get access to all of these resources when affiliating with our Armadas, but you will remain autonomous and whatever makes your Fleet unique and defines your colour shall always remain so.
  • Stonewall Fleet is but one branch of the Stonewall Gaming Network (SGN), a multi-guild gaming community that includes official presences in Star Wars: The Old Republic, as well as Guild Wars 2, among informal presences in many other games. We also have an active group on Steam that we welcome our members to join. By joining with one of our Armadas you will not only meet people playing STO, but come in contact with many different players in almost as many exciting online games all over the world!

Structure & Hierarchy

Stonewall Fleet has four in-game fleets including Stonewall Fleet, Deep Space Stonewall, Stonewall Legion, a Romulan-themed Starfleet-aligned fleet, and House of Nagh reD, our KDF sister fleet. Stonewall Fleet has two Armadas, one Starfleet-branch with Stonewall Fleet as the Alpha Fleet and a KDF-branch with House of Nagh reD as the Alpha Fleet.

Policies

Code of Conduct and Community Guidelines

The Code of Conduct and Community Guidelines are in place for all the shared facilities in both Armadas. You’re cordially invited to have a look at them and discover the common ground between your Fleet and our Armadas!

Requirements to Join

In order to ensure that our Armadas remain vibrant with activity, it is necessary that any Fleet that is a part of Stonewall Armada or Nagh reD Armada has their own publicly accessible set of rules that their respective Members have to abide to. First of all, since we are looking to strengthen our Armadas with other like-minded and welcoming Fleets, your individual rules stay your own, but of course they cannot be in conflict with the goals of Stonewall Fleet.

We believe in the strength of a symbiotic relationship among all our Armada members. When your Fleet is welcomed in either the Stonewall Armada, or the Nagh reD Armada, all your Fleet Holding projects should be opened up to allow the donation of every type of resource. In our experience this benefits the Fleets in all tiers of our Armadas; Gamma Fleets will see their projects being filled more rapidly and so boosting the progression for completion of their Holdings. At the same time the Members in the bigger Fleets get an opportunity to help the rest out and earn Fleet Credits by doing so!

In addition to these more general requirements, there is a further set of things we ask of a prospective Fleet, looking to join our Armadas that are specific to either Beta or Gamma Fleets. This may pertain for example to the minimum number of Active Members to keep our Armadas humming with activity!

Further Requirements for Beta Fleets

In addition to the general requirements outlined above, any Beta Fleet will need to have at least twenty Active Members and a verifiable way of measuring their Member activity. An Active Member is a Member that at a minimum logs in at least once every 3 days for a minimum of 2 hours of gameplay.

We think it is very important to have open lines of communication between the leaders of all Fleets in our Armadas. To that end, we require each Beta Fleet to send two Officers as liaisons to the Stonewall Armada Council. For more information, see Stonewall Armada Council.

If for some unforeseen reason your Beta Fleet is temporarily unable to comply with the requirements in this section and subsection, you will receive a friendly reminder with a 30-day notice allowing your Fleet some time to rectify the situation. This does mean unfortunately that at the end of this time period, your Fleet will be replaced by the next eligible Fleet that applies for a spot in a Beta position. By enforcing these rules, we want to ensure that our Armadas remain active.

Further Requirements for Gamma Fleets

In addition to the general requirements outlined above, any Gamma Fleet will need to have at least ten Active Members and a verifiable way of measuring their Member activity. An Active Member is a Member that at a minimum logs in at least once every 3 days for a minimum of 2 hours of gameplay.

We think it is very important to have open lines of communication between the leaders of all Fleets in our Armadas. To that end, we require each Gamma Fleet to send one Officer as liaison to the Stonewall Armada Council. For more information, see Stonewall Armada Council.

Stonewall Armada Council

The Stonewall Armada Council will chat in a separate text-chat room on the SGN Discord server. This channel will be moderated and chaired by the SGN Officers. The main goal of the Stonewall Armada Council is to ensure that we have open lines of communication relating to in-game event activities. Instructions for joining this channel on our Discord server will be provided to your liaison Officer when you join.

Shared Facilities

Our Code of Conduct and Community Guidelines are our rules for administration and moderation with which we can ensure a welcoming, safe, and fun environment for all those participating. Therefore, when making use of any of these shared facilities, we expect any Member of the Stonewall Armada and the Nagh reD Armada to abide by them.

SFArmada Chat Channel

We encourage the use of the cross-faction Armada channel SFArmada as this is the main and preferred way to interact and communicate with Armada Members in game. A guide on how to join this in-game channel can be found here: Guide on how to join the SFArmada channel.

To join SFArmada, use the /channel_join SFArmada slash command in the STO chat.
